Question about Heating & Cooling
I have a Coleman Evcon Presidential furnace. I want to turn on the heat for the winter. The pilot light is on. The settings are heat and auto.It will not start. Am I doing something wrong. This is the first year I have tried to do it myself.
Sounds like it isn't getting a call for heat. If you have a digital thermostat it could be the problem. I have seen them look like they are working but burn out. A simple way to check is take the stat off the wall. There is 2 wires. It's low voltage so don't worry about shock. Touch and hold them together. If it fires up change the t stat. On a . 2 wire it makes no difference which goes to W or R
