When you are moving either a washer or a dryer you do it carefully.
Other than that, you don't need to stabilized the drum.

SOURCE: need bolts to stabilize washer for move

Dont know if you can purchase these. First people to try are the manufactures. Otherwise, unscrew the two screws at the rear top of machine and pull backwards to remove top. Then pack some towells or rugs around the drum then replace top. Don,t forget to remove rugs at new home.!! Good luck on your move.

SOURCE: my zanussi washer dryer wjs 1397 w drum is not turning

It is most likely that the drive belt is broken and needs repalcing, If you remove the rear panel it will be obvious if it has broken *** there will be a lrge flywheel attached to the drum and no drive belt going to the motor, near the bottom of the machine. These are easy to obtain from any domestic appliance spares store or mail order. They are also very easy to fit.If the drive belt is in place and is reasonably tight (taught) then you may have an issue with the motor. clutch or brake.

My washer seems to off track it wont spin and sounds horrible my sons dad washed yesterday im tryin now and cant help

You did not post the make and model but the drum has stabilizers in the housing that keep it in balance. IF a load was way off balance then the stabilizers either broke or came loose. You need to unhook it from the connections for water and electric. You need to use a wet and dry vacuum to get all the water out. Yes there is some water left in it. Because you are going to have to move it away from the wall and either lift the top cover off or lay it down to see underneath. Then you can inspect the stabilizers and bumpers or springs to see what is loose or broken.

The drum came off the track with a move. Can this be repaired?

Yes it can. Track? I believe it is held up on springs. You will need to open up the washer. Remove the rear screws that hold the top cover on. Remove the top cover by sliding it towards the rear. Visually inspect where the drum came of. Not that many parts that hold the drum up. Good luck!

Maytag hav2557 vibrates excessively

sounds like the drum is loose. remove softener dispenser, usually a plastic hand nut, then you should see the drum nut, may be under softener goop though. check if tight. other thing could be one of the drum stabilizers broke, usually drum has 4 of them attaching drum to dryer frame. place unit on side and check

Maytag model LA- 510 washer. Not spinning fast enough, Clothes come out too wet and water sometimes left in bottom of drum. Belts were changed. No help. Also, machine makes a large ''clunk'' sound at end...

the cluncking sound is not a brake system since there are no brakes, but the stabilizer of the drum. as when it stops turning the whole weight of the drum 'hangs' on the stabilizers. That might also be the problem with not spinning fast enough, although I think that its not spinning fast enough because there's too much water inside. I would check the drain hose and drain filter, either one of these two are clogged up, and therefor not letting the water out.
hope you'll find the problem soon.
friendly greetings............Gilbert.

Moving my washer & dryer

find the original shipping stuff the long plastic dowels can be reinserted and if i remember right there is a bolt or pin that goes back through them to hold them in place.. if all else fails you may try removing top and shoving thick quilts down sides and back between drum and cabinet ..remove bottom and put something under tub to prevent a lot of motion up and down on the shocks and springs ..hope this helps i'm in repair not delivery so i seldom see the shipping materials if its not a long move just careful handling may be enough
