Hi , need a little bit of clarification on the problem.
does the engine turn over ok,? pull start turns engine round but doesn't start?
have you taken the high pressure hose off the front of the machine and tried to turn then engine round?
does the engine smoke from the exhaust before failing?

model number and type of pump would also help. No disrespect but it's like asking 'my car wont start' , very hard to diagnose without a little information.
i'll do my best, andy

Engine cranks, but hard to start when engine is hot?

if it only happens when hot it could be a bad starter drawing too much amperage only when hot or it could be a fuel pump problem again only when hot. to know which, when it happens have a cranking test done to see if the starter is the problem or the battery is in bad shape. if these are good have the fuel pressure tested with a gauge.

When the car is cool it will crank up, but when itget hot it shut off and wont crack backup

Does it crank and wont start, or does it not even crank over when hot? If it still cranks, if the starter cranks the engine over, then check for spark when it won't start. If you have no spark, something in your ignition system may get hot and fail-something like the crank position sensor, or the ignition control module.

99 Mazda 626 2.0 changed starter 3x's. No start

Well it could be an engine problem, or a bad connection with one of the battery cables. The engine would require more voltage to crank when it is hot, but not that much.
You might want to have someone check the engine to see how much drag is has when hot, by turning the crank by hand.

Colorado 2005 3.5l start and not crank when the engine is off 30 minute at hot no fault. fuel pressure is good.Crank sensor is new.Start 2 times and engine crank. Eric Tank you

If this problem only occurs after shutdown when hot, check temperature sending unit. This is usually first thing to prevent starting until engine is completely cooled down.

1998 F150 Hard to start when hot. Have to crank engine for 30 seconds. Runs ok after starting. Check engine says it is running lean. Starts ok when cold.

I have the same problem with my F150 4.6. Long cranking when out door tempurature is hot. Engine temp gauge indicates normal engine tempurature. Looking for solution.

Engine will not turn over when hot. if it is the

I'll assume this is something like an E-150 with a gas engine. If the engine cranks over normally when cold but then cranks very slowly once the engine is fully warmed up then you most likely have a failing starter. What happens is that when the windings get hot they aren't able to produce enough power to properly spin the starter. Once the windings cool off they work better and the engine will crank normally or nearly normally. If it doesn't make any attempt to crank at all then you could have a bad solenoid which is located at the right front of the engine compartment. I have tested these solenoids by cooling them off when the problem is happening to see if they then start to work again. Fairly rare for these solenoids to fail but they can. I see a lot more starter problems however. Good luck, hope this helps!

Want crank when engines hot?

most likely you have a lazy starter if when the engine is cold it cranks fast and when hot it barely cranks then you need to replace the starter
