Question about Dryers

1 Answer

The high and low temperature buttons on my White Knight sensordry tumbledryer pushed in because a screw had become loose inside. Have dismantled it but can't work out how to reassemble - there is a little wire piece that fits between buttons and electrics. Which way does it fit please?

SOURCE: My White Knight sensordry tumbledryer has been

sounds like the bearing carrier has come away from the drum-same as mine, seems to part of the drum
so not available seperately-its riveted on not bolted, mine has deformed and enlarged the rivet holes in the drum so a repair dosent seem practicle if yours hasnt chewed itself up then you may be able to replace the rivets with nuts and bolts and maybe change the bushing kit for about 6 quid

Beko sensordry 6kg gets hot on sensordry programs but won,t get hot on timed programs and keeps stopping and starting, any ideas please?

In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

I had a white rodgers thermosat system & its digital. I dont what model # it is but I want to know should I have the temperature set low or high if its 80 degrees in the house?

The set temperature is the temperature you want the system to cool the inside of the house.
A lot of digital thermostat will display the current ambient temperature. When you push the set temperature up or down buttons the thermostat will display the set temperature momentarily and will change if you push the up or down button.

Hope this helps.

We have 3 soft closing Toilet seats.Newly installed. One has become very loose. Asking agent/ shop , they showed me how to remove on another modle. Press on white inside lift seat off etc and ecposes the...

Reach under the bowl of the toilet and feel for a rather large wing-nut bolt on each side of the toilet. You must hold these with your hand and tighten the screws with a screwdriver. If you don't hold these wingnuts, then the screws will keep spinning forever and never tighten. Run your hand directly below the toilet just below the screws and you will find them. VERY EASY FIX!
