On most laptops, a Bluetooth card is an optional item available at extra cost. To standardize production, you may have the indicator and switch, but not the extra card. In that case, installing the driver won't help, because there's no device present for the driver to support.
Perhaps you can probably find the plug-in card on E-bay for not too much or use an external USB Bluetooth adapter, which would probably be a cheaper solution.
Plug your Bluetooth device into your computer's USB port. You will need your device in place when you install the software so that the hardware and software registry can form necessary links.
Step 2Insert the software CD into your computer's CD drive. If an installation window does not automatically pop up, go to the "My computer" section of your computer and click on the CD icon. You may need to look for a file called Setup.exe.
Step 3Follow the prompts to install the software. You will have to identify yourself and will probably have to type in a registry key from the box that the Bluetooth software came in. You will also have to select a folder on your computer to house the new program; the default is usually OK.
Step 4Wait for all the necessary components to finish installing. Once done, click the finish button and then restart your computer. Once your computer has been rebooted, launch the software and ensure that it is working properly with your Bluetooth device.
I have just purchased a JSMP-8GBJA Jensen MP3 player but when i plug it in to my computer it says that the usb is unrecognised and i need a driver installed....where do i get this from???
I faced the same problem i installed it. But got through it. See if this works for you too:
1. You have to install the software you downloaded from the tata site or from the CD you got with the MODEM. Do this without attaching the MODEM to the laptop.
2. Once done, insert the MODEM into the USB drive. The Windows will automatically search drivers for USB MODEM and QualCoMM drivers and install it.
After it shows the success message, click the Tata Indicom Dialer and check. The problem should not appear again.
