Shuts down immediatley after booting up

I can assume from your description and this "click" sound that you are facing an HDD problem. I would suggest downloading Hiren's BootCD from this link. Burn the content on a disk and boot up from it. Then start some of the HDD tests like HDD Regenerator and examine the results.I hope this helps!

Yes I have an Acer One model AO532h that when I turn it on I get the following message..."Check cable connection! PXE-M0F: Exiting Intenl PXE ROM. No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any...

The message is generated because the southbridge is no longer in communication with the hdd - the hard disk itself is failing - the electronics board to be exact. You will have to replace it.

1. This could be a "Power related problem".
While you transfer data from with your HDD, make sure your your netbook is connected with an external power supply (Charger/Adapter.).

If it doesnt solve your pproblem, try updating your USB Drivers/ Chipset drivers. (All the Ex-HDD have Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port, may be your MoBo doenst have the relevant drivers to support your HDD.)

If this doesnt solve your problem, try contacting the HDD Manufacturer Support or replace it after recovering your files.
