Removed two large nuts in trunk, but tail light assembly will not come out to replace bulb.

There will be two more behind the carpet.... just peel it back and you will see them... make sure that you manage to look closely at the carpet before pulling it away because it is "tucked" in just so. This will help you get the light out!!

Changing the brake light bulbs

Have you had a look from inside your boot? I could imagine its covered over with carpet but if you take off the boot wall/carpet and feel around you should find the wires which come out of the rear of the Lens which house the globes. Then you usually twist anti clock slightly (not a screw) to remove globe holder which has globe in it. Or there can sometimes be a wire spring holding the globe holder into the back of the lens. Im pretty sure it takes a bayonetglobe 5W. 47207.

The camera fell off a desk onto a carpeted floor while uploading pics to the computer. Now the lens will not close properly and I keep getting a "lens error" message. Nothing looks cracked. Can this be...

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here are some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.

Fuji a500 give "focus error" message and won't shoot pictures

I am sorry to say that this design of lens is the worst i've seen from Fuji.
Focus error relates to the mechanism right at the front of the lens. The motor and drive gear are in the end piece of the lens, as opposed to other cameras that have the focus mechanism in the back of the lens and is easily access able once inside the camera.
Does the lens stick? or buzz on power up? If you tap gently, with your finger nail, on the actual lens on power up ( you may have to do this several times) you may find the lens comes out ok and no error msg is displayed (until you try zooming). This will probably be because something is jamming the gears or the tiny tension spring used on the gears has come off. I have tried to clear several A500's with this problem with limited success.

Lens error in coolpix s 10

This is probably THE single most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

My friend had the same issue, and so did I. Maybe this would only do worse to yours, but it actually fixed my issue. When you turn the camera off, the lense should start to tuck in right? Maybe try giving a little push to help it out.
