SOURCE: I need to know how much oil goes into a skilsaw worm drive resvr.

Haven't heard anything so I checked the Milwaukee worm drive saw and they recomment about 1/2 oz. Make sure you use an oil for a worm drive that is not foaming. Hope this helps. Also when checking oir level have the shoe set for max depth and on a flat surface remove the oil plug, when filling tip the saw on its side and fill, turn back over and allow excess oil to run out if overfilled.

Im trying to figure out how to adjust the bevel on my new skilsaw 7 1/4 worm drive. I adjust the lever and I'm trying to turn the shoe of the saw and it won't turn. Can somebody please help?

New saw = tight pivot points where the saw meets the shoe. You have one in the front and one in the rear. As long as you are sure that the bevel adjustment lever has loosened its grip on the quadrant. You can spray the pivot points with some wd-40 or even attempt to muscle the shoe to get the pivot points broke lose. Just not so much that you separate the shoe from the saw.
If you still cannot get it I would return it for another one.

Skilsaw wormdrive stops working but if I wiggle the cord at the handle it sometime starts and will run until I take my finger off the trigger. Now it won't start at all even after wiggling the co

Replace the cord. Cords get internal breaks by the handle or boot because that's where they have the most bending movement. The wires break inside where you can't see them. When you wiggle the cord the connection is remade, usually with a spark hot enough to hold them together for a short time. When the saw turns off and the cord moves again the weak point breaks again. You can test this by pluggin in the cord and checking for voltage where the cord attaches to the switch.

How do I replace the spring on the retractable blade guard on a model 77 worm drive skilsaw?

Bearings maybe......I'd also check the armature fan and see if it came loose. Either way it doesn't sound cheap!

How much/what type of oil goes in my old wormdrive saw?

their owners manual doesn't give an exact quantity however they say to unplug the tool first then remove the fill plug and the lower plug and the oil should run out past the first thread. they recommend using their oil 80111 8 oz. tube however any good worm drive lubricant will work, Don't use anything like gear lube because the worm drive lube has an additive for anto foaming. Let me know if you need more assistance

skil recommends using their lube 80111 for an 8 oz tube or 80112 for a pint. however any good quality worm drive lube will work. Don't use a gear lube because the worm drive has additives for anti foaming and gear wear added. Let me know if you need more help
