Question about Kyocera Km-4050 With Feed, Finisher, Bank, Print, Scan, Duplex - 551k Copies

We are using KM 4050. Everything is fine, We can print, copy, but we cannot scan to email. It started yesterday. I check all the setting, cable, I even change to use gmail SMTP server. it still gives me 2101 error. any idea?

You cant can to email using gmail server. they have hundreds of different servers. would reccoment setting up scan to folder either to a shared folder on your server or straight to your c drive if needing some confidentiality

you have to have a user name and password set up on the computer you are scanning to then you set theat up in the address you set up on the copier.

The following errors are simalir;

2101, 2102, 2201, 2202, 2203, 3101:

The network cable is disconnected or the hub that it is connected to is not operating properly. Check the cable and the hub. Otherwise, the server name or the host name of the SMTP server is not set correctly. Use COMMAND CENTER and register the SMTP server name and the host name correctly.

Kyocera KM 4050 Working properly. but sometimes its it's creating lots of problem. some times the part of machines are not available,and the distributors are too rude. they are not help for queries.


Push the unit out the window and buy a different machine, if you are constantly having problems and the vendor cannot resolve them, it is time to move on. If you are under any sort of service contract, threaten legal action if they do not fix the machine.

Hello,
the error is a system error if the following error code is displayed. When an error has occurred, clear the error by turning the main power switch off then on.
These error type should be reseted by restarting the machine
CF1XX, CF2XX, CF3XX, CF4XX, CF5XX, CF6XX, CF7XX, CFAXX, CFBXX, 0xFBXX

Just generally CF-B31 firmware errors can be caused by a bad CODE DIMM, main board, or operation panel.

Try loading new firmware ...

I have a KM 4050 and when we scan it is giving a "send error 2101" Everything else is fine. We are able to print from our computers etc. so I know our connections are ok. Any suggestions?
