I would reconnect it to itunes and perform a restore. It sounds like the update was corrupted.

How do update my IPOD with ios8

Go to Settings - General - Software Update,

You probably can't though because ios 8 is for newer iPhones, iPads and iPods. If there is an update you get an automatic notification of a red '1' on the Settings icon. I have an older iPod and iOS updates for it ceased a long time ago. I compare against my iPhone 6.

Where are software updates found

What kind of phone do you have?
Assuming we're talking smartphones,
for iPhones with iOS, you get App updates through the App Store. Open the App Store and there should be an "Updates" tab.

For Android, they would come through the Google Play store, or the system itself. (With the Galaxy S4, there is a Samsung Hub for some apps and software that updates through there as well.)

Non smart phones update automatically, or can be updated through the Settings - Device options, which vary drastically by phone.

IPhone weather app "update failed'

The easiest way is to wait for a few hours and try to update your iPhone again. Best remember to try this way because sometimes it really works well. And simply, I would like to introduce the steps to upgrade your iPhone via WiFi environment first and foremost.

1. Open Settings of your iPhone.
2. Connect WiFi and find General on your iPhone.
3. Open Software Update.
4. The device would automatically check for update, or you could click the "Check for update" button.
5. After that, click Install Now button. Then you just need to wait until the update completes.

My iphone hang problem

Try pressing down the Home button (Centre button) and the on/off button on the top at the same time long enough (turn power off) till you see the apple logo. The phone should restart itself, it might take 2-3 minutes though. If the problem still persists, try updating the software on the phone as this might be a small software glitch. Then the new version should be 4.3.5.

Hi,

First you have to restart the phone and the reset it.Beacause the apple ios is corrupted you have reset the ios to work properly. When you reset the apple i phone new Ios will be re-installed it will not update it will only reinstall so the firmware will work properly.

To restart iPhone running iOS 3.0 or later

1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. When the red slider appears, release the Sleep/Wake button.
2. Instead of dragging the red slider, press and hold the Home button for six seconds.
3. If the device does not return to the Home screen, see the steps below to restart.

To restart iPhone iOS 2.2.1 or earlier

1. Press and hold the Home button for six seconds.
2. If the device does not return to the Home screen, see the steps below to restart.

If the iPhone touch remains unresponsive, try restarting the device:

Restarting iPhone :

1. To turn it off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone.
3. To turn iPhone touch on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Resetting the iPhone:

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds.

If still the problem persist you have to update the firmware:

Updating and Restoring iPhone Software

You can use iTunes to update or restore iPhone software. You should always update iPhone to use the latest software. You can also restore the software, which returns iPhone to its original state.

If you restore, all data is erased from iPhone, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All iPhone settings are restored to their original state.

1. Make sure you have an Internet connection and have installed the latest version of iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes.
2. Connect iPhone to your computer.
3. In iTunes, select iPhone in the Source pane and click the Summary tab.
4. Click “Check for Update.” iTunes tells you if there’s a newer version of the iPhone software available.
5. Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore iPhone to its original settings and erase all data on iPhone. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.

My laptop shuts down when i connect my new iPhone 3G

does your computer have a webcam? if it does, the computer is restarting itself because it identifies two conflicting cameras - one from your computer, the other from your iphone. what you can do is either 1)update your camera drive, 2)update your computer drive or 3)use a computer that does not have a webcam connected to it. hope this helped!

also, if you're using windows vista, this link will help you: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2280?viewlocale=en_US

Computer shuts down when connecting iphone

Try the latest itunes:

http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

- Quit iTunes if it's currently open.
- Visit Apple Downloads to see if there are newer versions of iPod Updater (this contains software for all models of iPod) and iTunes than what's installed on your computer.
- If there are newer updates available, download the Windows versions of the updates, then run the installers on your computer to install the updates.
- When it's finished, iTunes will already be updated, but you'll need to run the iPod Updater to update your iPod, so connect your iPod to your computer.
- On the Start menu, point to All Programs, point to iPod, point to iPod Updater, then click the latest iPod Updater.
- Click the Update button to update the software on your iPod (if the Update button appears unavailable, your iPod is already up to date).

If it still fails, remove the automatic restart from windows:

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
Go to Advanced
Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"
