Question about Miele Vacuums
Miele S538 Monte Verde Bag blew up inside. Motor stopped. Can it be saved? Control Board scorched where AC comes onto it from cord reel. Power good through cord reel to power plug. Control board looks slightly scorched at the surface. Motor turns freely, but not sure if problem is control board or motor itself. Suspect the control board. Can that be ordered, or repaired? Same goes for the motor? Michael Elk Grove, Ca

you should check the cord and switch's for continuity, the boards are usually pretty reliable, you could check the board for any bad solder joints, at least that would be obvious.

SOURCE: Miele vacuum cleaner S524.
just renew the cord but instead of a wind up thing i would just put a length of new cord on and just wrap it around the machine when you put it away ,or fit a hook on the side of the machine to wrap the wire around ,200 dollars is a lot of money here and for 35/40 euros i can buy a nice vacumn cleaner ,For 200 euros sort of money i can buy an industrial machine on wheels with a 3kw motor for cleaning the cars with and the mrs uses it around the house as well ,and its a wet and dry machine as well
