I had this problem when I completely deleted the Backup folder from \My Flash Disk.
Restoring the backup folder allowed the 520 to operate properly again.
It is possible that you have a corrupted APPStartupSec.exe application. Without this file working it appears that the NAVMAN waits in USB mode for ever!
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Hi I have a MY55T
Just another thought about your concern, have you tried resetting the unit and restore it from factory defaults? You can restore the unit back to the factory defaults by going to the "settings" screen and press on the "restore factory defaults". You may also try the following steps for additional troubleshooting.
1. Take the SD CARD out, reset and turn on the Navman.
2. When the Navman loads, push in the SD CARD.
3. Now go to the "setting" screen and press on the "restore factory defaults".
Hope it helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.
