Question about Philips 32PT9100D 32" TV
My phillips tv is about 2 years old and after the kids had been mucking witht the controls all of the colours are off. Red appears to bleed across all colours indeed white now appears as pink. I have attempted to reset the colours in the maintenance menu but I believe I have made the problem worse. Can anybody explain to me how to get back into the maint menu and offer some advice as to what colour, saturation and hue etc levels would improve the situation.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

You need to replace both convergence ICs they are STK392-120 this is an easy repair that you can do yourself and save yourself around 400.00 for about 45 minutes work. You can order the new ICs at the following link and they provide free installation instructions with pictures and also free online support with a support tech while you do the repair. I am one of their support techs. You would also want to order at least 4 convergence resistors and they send the proper ones for your model as often a couple resistors go. Your model uses 6.8ohm 2watt 5% metal film resistors. So to recap you will need (2) STK392-120 Convergence ICs and (4) Convergence ICs . very inexspensive repair if you do it yourself. here is the link.

Last year i had a phillips 100hz tv which had a similar problem.
There can be one of 2 major problems :A processor chip which controls the colour and the tube which could have failed or both.
This could be an expensive repair if the spares are available,(Usually imported from there singapore branch)
I would first check the warranty and then take it to the agents.

That blinking led is an error code for the audio standby board in the set. It should not go out this soon and yes it should last longer.
