You can only check the connectors between main electronics and user interface. Sometimes due to vibration the connectors lose a good connection, otherwise main board(PCB) or user interface (PCB) is faulty. It is difficult to find out which of them is incorrect.
Only authorized service providers have a interface for connecting to the electronics of the washing machine.

Possible that the keyboard interface is fauty, the linking cord is worn out or an error at the connector.
If you can open to remove the board and reset the connect it will confirm on any loose leads.
if not the keyboard can be faulty. Try and attach a wireless keyboard using the USB port to confirm on the status of the mother board.

Possible that the keyboard interface IC , the membrane connection, the connectors are faulty.
You can remove the keyboard section if you are versed with removing such delicate sections, clean , and replace . if not the errors are in the failure of the interface IC.

Check the Device Manager for errors on devices. Could be a driver is not installed. A driver finder program can help find missing drivers.

Since windows 2000 is quite old now, I suggest using a PS2 interface keyboard USB may work.


Also your keyboard may have a F-Lock key, make sure its pressed when you boot up.

what interface is it, if it scans and does not give an error it is an interface issue. restore to factory defaults(important) and resetup the interface. if the unit is PS2 confirm a keyboard is connected to it or in notebook mode. if it is rs232 test with hyperterminal
