Question about Zebra Z4M Printer

1 Answer

Zebra Z4M only feeds a small portion of the label.

When trying to print to the Zebra Z4M it only feeds about 1/8th of the label and stops. No error messages appear and no lights blink. There is also nothing being printed onto the label.

You should try a factory reset. Power off the printer. Hold the "pause" and "feed" buttons down while powering up. Allthe lights will blink and when they stop blinking, release the "pause" and "feed" buttons. This will factory reset the printer.

The label is not calibrated. Press keys FEED, PAUSE and CANCEL, turn the printer and release the keys when making the labels. Also verify that the type of material is NOT CONTINUOUS.

I have a Zebra Z4M printer. Just put new roll of labels in and they print one, sometimes two and then skip labels in between.

This is a calibration issue. The labels or ribbon are not loaded correctly. If they are, turn the printer off and then back on and the printer will run a calibrate. This should correct it. Once it is complete, you can verify by pressing the feed button and making sure it feeds one label at a time.

Make sure printer is set for "non-continuous" supplies(media).
Also try calibrating printer. You can download a quick reference manual at zebra.com
