SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Does fixya reward members for answering questions?

In the time that I have been answering questions I have received a whole 5 dollars. They do have programs that you can sign up for to provide telephone technical support. But just answering questions here will really only give you the satisfaction of having helped someone out. I am a top 10% printer expert on this site, just to give you an idea. My current stats show 307,679 people helped.

Where do I find the answers to my question and how long does it take to get an answer?

When an answer is posted, the site will email you with a link back to the answer. The answers are by non-professional volunteers that can answer a question they feel they can answer. There are no paid experts awaiting your question and volunteers often refuse to answer all demanding, incoherent, inappropriate, irrelevant, self promoting, spam and questions that aren't really questions.

How long does it take to get answers to questions?

That depends on the question. Bear in mind that FixYa is a worldwide community of volunteers. No one is answering questions on a fixed schedule, and no one is getting paid to answer questions. The middle of the day could be the middle of the night for someone who knows the answer to your question. Answers also tend to come slower on the weekend.

Also, some questions simply don't get answered.

So how long before I get an answer?

That depends on the question.
Bear in mind that FixYa is a community of members like yourself, some of whom volunteer their expertise to help others. None of us get paid for answering questions.
Also bear in mind that some questions simply don't have answers.

Terms of use - is my question/answer free? Or what is "subscription" price for 1 question?

If I were you, I would ask your question here for no fee what so ever. You can ask free qeustions all day if you want. Who ever (as in we volunteers who answer questions) may see your question may give you an answer if the question is within their area of expertise. This question is a free question and this is a free answer.

If you want, you can elect other options. There are Paid questions which have a flat fee for one question. These questions remain at the to of the "list" until answered. If you "subscribe", you can ask Paid questions when ever you want on a recurring basis. In the free section, questions are asked and they go on a long list posted by the time and category.

Another option is "Chat" where you chat with an expert who accepts your question. There is also a feature where which allows you to speak with someone on the telephone.

And ... there is a feature where you can direct your question to a particulat "Expert" of your choosing for a fee.

I hope this answers your question - thank you for asking.

BTW, I am usually here Monday thru Saturday, it is morning where I am located. I spend 30 or so minutes here before going to the regular job. Everyone who works here is a volunteer and works from their home, shop or office when they wish.

There is your free answer in under 10 minutes originating from the US Eastern Seaboard.

I just received an attempt to answer my problem from michael_c250, but he did not address the total problem. He only answered the question in part. I paid $5 for something I already knew. Could I possibly...

Perhaps if you directed your complaint to the people who manage Fixya, or just plain reject the solution, it would re-emerge as an open question.

This post does not connect us to the original post.

Thought u had a answer,, you charge a fee,,kiss my grits!!! that's putting it nicely....

Don, Sorry you have been disappointed. It might help if you understand how fix-ya works. The 1000's people who answer these questions are not employees of FixYa. They are just people like me with hugely varied expertise that like to answer people's questions. When free questions are asked, most of us scan them looking for questions that we find personally interesting. When questions are posed by users who have paid a fee, those questions give us an opportunity to earn a few bucks if our question is accepted by the client. Believe me, this is NOT lucrative. But it is fun! The thing is, the fee paid questions get snatched up quickly by us experts, and most of them go a few rounds before the question is answered satisfactorily. It's really an interesting system. I have been doing this for a few months, and I have found the biggest factor in how satisfied people are with their questions depends on how clearly they have asked them. I hope this gives you a little insight into how FixYa works, so that you can have your best chance at getting value out of the money you have paid.

Just registering how do i get 10 pounds

Answer questions successfully until you progress to Wiz or Guru rank.

Download the FixYa livechat utility and install it.

You'll then get invite to answer livechat or premium questions which you can earn up to $10 (not £10) for each successful solution.

Afterwards you must answer fifty free unsolved questions a month to retain your premium expert status.

See http://www.fixya.com/ExpPayFAQ.aspx for full details.

The important point is that you don't get paid for doing nothing, nor do you get paid if all you give are useless (or even mostly useless) answers.

I hope this has helped you, if so please return the favour by rating my answer.

How much water does the kenmore 11028882791 hold on full load

God bless you and, as Eve would say, "Watch out for the snakes and their advice!" We've ALL paid for Adam & Eve's mistake, ya know.

Remember: There is no such thing as "free" when it comes to answers like this. Though it doesn't say so, this is a way to ADVERTISE a paid service. This misleading is SHAMEFUL to me but . . . what can ya do?

Why doesn't FIXYA say here: Just click on the upper right buttons and we'll give you the price of the answer! Since apparently they can't answer these questions, why would I trust them to answer my "paid for" question?

LOVE YOUR NAME!! Now you've given me an idea and I'm gonna change from BuffyWWJD to Proverbs 3:5-8!
