Depends what part of circuit. What it controls. If only power it is fine. if controls a frequance then it has to be exact. but usually can go up on voltage

Look for two bad caps on your power supply board, next to the connector going to the main board. 1000 uf at 16v. Replace with 25v.

My LG w2452t monitor won't turn on and the power light is flashing blue and orange. How can i get it to turn on?

I had the following symptom: No power on, or only sporadic power on, power-on light blinking, etc.
Problem was: Capacitor C202 & C203 (both 1000 uF, 16V) on the PS board had lost capacity, tested only approx 45 uF. Replaced, everything works fine now! Cost: 20 cent.

My samsung syncmaster 73nw,when i turn it on i can use it well but aftr 5 minutes the m0nitor turns off, and aftr 3 mins it turns on,can u pls tell me whats wr0ng with my m0nitor?

You have bad Capacitors on the power inverter section; These 1000 uF 10V& 470uF 16V Caps will function half blown. As soon as they warm up the Cap either opens or shorts and takes down the power inverter. The venting on this monitor is very poor; To verify take a fan and place it behind the monitor, then try it again. If the monitor runs longer you have verified your problem. TCC

Hit power button the screen flashes on for a second then goes black again.

I just repaired one.... will likely require that you replace 3 X 220 uf 25 volt capactiros and 2 X 1000 uf 25 volt capacitors. can't miss them the tops are swelled up. but the monitor appears to work now... not bad for 5 bucks worth of parts.

CAPACITOR 1000 UFD 16V 105C FOR MITSUBISHI WD-52525 52 IN. TV

no you cannot substitute a 680uf 16v 105c in place of a 1000uf
if you want to put a better capacitor in place of the old 1000uf 16v 105c , then use a 1000uf 25v or 35v 105c
the voltage rating will allow the cap to better handle the circuit

Here is a link to the ones I used to fix my TV.You will have to look at the ones that are bad in your TV to find out the size you need. You should try to get it as close as you can to the original one.You can get one with a higher value on both specs, but not lower. For example, mine had a 10V 1000UF 8MM in diameter, and a 16V 1000 UF 10MM in diameter, and I replace them both with 16V 1000UF in diameter, and it worked perfect. You can also use different heights as well,as long as there is enough room.I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!

Most likely there are electrolytic capacitors in the power supply and also possibly in the amp sections that are going high in ESR.

It would be best to test all the caps with an ESR meter and then replace the ones that are out of spec. You have an excellent chance that this will fix the unit.

If you are not experienced at doing electronics servicing, you can give the unit out to a service center to have it fixed.
