I have an Akai pt5299hd and the whitecolor has a yellow tint to it and the tint gets more yellow as you move further away from the center of the screen. and the blacks have a reddish tint to them?
From your description. It sounds klike you have some bad glycol or fluid in one or more of the picture tubes. to repair this the glycol can be replaced. To do this is a complicated proceure that requires the tubes to be removed. one the glycol is replace it has to be aligned something that not all that easy At our shop this repair would averge 375 to repair
