SOURCE: when i try to boot
Most likely a driver error or bad hardware. Could be a video card, modem or NIC, bad memory. try some basic troubleshooting, Remove all but the bare esentials. Take out any add is PCI devices such as modems or network cards, sound cards or extra usb ports. If you have onboard video but are using a AGP or PCI video card, remove that as well and use just the onboard.
If it works, then you know its one of the things you removed.
put on in and boot, then another and boot, till it has that problem again, Once it does, you will know it was the last thing you put in.
Remove it and test anything else you removed to be sure.
Then boot into windows and try un-installing any drivers and then re-installing them before putting it back in. This way Windows is ready for it when you hook it up.
If you still have problems, then the hardware may just be bad. Replace it.
IF you are still having trouble or think its something else, let me know, we can try other stuff.

it sounds like the hot surface ignitor is bad. if you have an ohm meter check across the leads going to the ignitor, it should read a resistance of some value, if it reads "o" the ignitor is open meaning there is a crack in the ignitor. you can remove it and visually check it for cracks in the coil, sometime they are hard to see so look very closely ,even under a magnifier glass.
a good ignitor should read 10 ohms if it reads higher it may still work for awhile but is definitly on its way to failing soon.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
The light is on as the unit won't drain or is unable to drain due to blockage in the drain hose. This problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
