Hissing noise My RCA has a very distinct hissing noise coming from the back. I have heard other people complain about this online but have yet to see a cause or a fix for this problem. Please help if you can. Thank you.

Your tv is not properly tuned or reset it once & then see some improvement or your input signal is weak or loose connection near input.

If you heard a hissing noise, you probably have a leak. In that case, it's probably still leaking right now, hiss or not. You'd better have someone come take a close look.

My freezer is located in a garage that is staying hot in these 90 degree temps. I just heard a noise coming from it, looked and stuff was thawing. Husband unplugged and noise has stopped fills like cold...

I would first check to make sure the the condenser coils are free of debri and there is not something against the fan.

Did the noise sound electrical or mechanical or a hiss. A hiss is most likely a freon leak or a compressor blown (usually not worth repairing). A mechanical sound could be something blocking a moving part like a fan. Electrical could mean about anything.

I would check the condenser grill and then plug it back up and try to tell where the noise was coming from.

Car hissing sound

The noise maybe the p/s pump fluid return,GM had some problem with this but nothing bad. GM makes a resticter that goes in the return line of the pump, it will slow the fluid down going back in the pump stopping the hissing sound.

If the hissing noise is from the LCD, it could be from the power supply due to failing capacitors. This noise is generated when the TV is trying to compensate for the lack of voltage/curent requirements.

Yet another hissing/buzzing noise from back of TV

Good day.

Check for the horizontal output transistor, flyback and filter capacitors.
Any of these being shorted can cause the problem.
