I have no problem receiving text messages on my i530 Motorola. However I have no idea how to respond to text messages sent to me.Is there some place I can get a dummy lesson in how to text message on my i530.
To be able to send and reply to text messages you must have NOL net access. Press menu(left of the left arrow key), scroll to net, press ok(if an error message appears contact nextel for internet service), scroll to text messaging, press ok. From there you can write, read and reply to text messages. The reason for having to do it this way is because this phone as well as others with nextel were being produce when text was first being introduced to nextel, at that time motorola wasn't making nextel phones with the option of text, so it was up to the provider to give text access(via. net).

Normally if you go to your menu which is in the middle of the phone select ok and go to messaging click that now type in the cellular # that you want to send the message to or you can send an email in this option to once you got the phone # typed in go ok with it and click ok again and it would bring you up to enter message for short messages like hi it would be t9word for long sentences it would be abc for numbers it would be num and how you type messages you go by the letters of the alphabet you keep on pressing the same button until you get to the leter of the alphabet tht you wants to use

I cant get text messaging notifications to work. The notifacations are set to recieve all, but still none come through. The messages show up but I can't get a tone to go off alerting me that I have a new message. Should this be set up in my voicemail settings?
I can recieve texts, but have no idea how to send one!!! Even the owner's manual conveniently skips this step. How embarrasing!

Incoming text doesnt have any reply info. The network is not the best. I drop calls alot.
ok i went to NET and clicked ok BUT....there is nothing there saying text messaging to click on. what do i do now? i have a i530 NEXTEL phone.
my i530 text never goes thru w/what ityped in.the message comes up empty.jesse
