Question about Sylvania SMPK8858 MP3 Player

2 Answers

I don't get it. Ive tried everything. My Mp3 player was working great, stored in a safe place. I cant get it to turn on now! When i plug it in the welcome screen comes on and it goes to the charging screen but once i unplug it i cant get it to turn on but i can still play the music thats on it on my computer and removed and add songs. So why won't it turn on?

My iPod did this after I didn't use it for a while.
My guess is that the battery is so low that there is not enough juice to fully turn it on when not plugged in.
Leave it charging for a couple hours and then see what it does. If it still doesn't turn on, your built in batteries might be dead... If it doesn't have a built in battery and you changed them out already, it could be a number of things.

Looks like your battery is internal though... which usually means it is not user serviceable

Cant hear songs

It sounds like your headphone/hold cable is faulty. Try plugging it into a sound device with a docking bay. If no sound comes out of there either then it's a faulty logic board.

Sansa e250r works but will not format

The issue you have described with your portable device in most cases can be resolved by formatting your device. Please follow these steps even if you have already attempted them once before.

Please note that this will remove all music from your device.

Formatting the device in Windows Media Player

1. Open Windows Media Player with your MP3 player connected to the computer

2. At the top of windows Media Player select the Sync tab at the top

3. The MP3 player should be recognized on the right hand side and say "Your Player Name"

4. Above the player name is a button that says "Format Storage Media" click this button to erase all the data from the player

My new slick stick mp3 player is great but i don`t know how to put videos on it

if this is the slick stick portable MP3 player that looks like a flash drive and has a blue backlit monochrome LCD display thay your talking about then you cannot put videos on it as far as I know but ive seen this little player on a few websites and it says you can put JPEG pictures on it and supposedly display them but i doubt you can, i mean in what a 100x20 pixel screen then no jpegs will look grainy, as for the guest that posted on june 25th you can get mp3s from many different places like limewire and rhapsody mp3 store i think this player can play DRM WMA files too and you just plug this little player into your USB port and then drag and drop your tunes its that easy, this player shows up in windows as a removable drive
