Actually you can call your local viking range distribututor or its actually a whirlpool gasket since it is sourced by them with the viking name on it.

SOURCE: Hello. I have a 1988

You definitely have an air leak somewhere along the gasket. Check along the gasket for any place that is not sealed properly. It could be that you didn't quite get it in the right place as well. It might be off-centered along the edge of the door.

If you end up having to replace the gasket again with a brand new one, clean the area that the gasket will be applied, with alcohol before application.

Good Luck!

Jim

Viking fridge Model DDRB364RSS dripping water unto bottom cooler drawer and later under fridge - once a day or so. Door Gasket is a bit torn.

problem water in a fridge is moisture from the atmosphere--normally from opening the door but in your case from the damaged door seal
any tear regardless, compromises the compartment so have the seal replaced then see if you have a problem

Freezer not cooling properly. Temperature alarm went off. Turned off now.

Look inside freezer on the rear wall to look to see if there is frost buildup. If yes then unplug and manually defrost defrost for about 3 hours if you only open freezer or place hot water in a bucket and place inside freezer and close the door. How to adjust door viking dfsb423

Viking 42" built-in units usually don't offer any door adjustments. If one of the doors are not closing well, check for obstructions blocking the door bins, worn door gasket, and possible door warp-age on the panel ready models. Viking did have top hinge recalls updating to the new "Cobra" hinge on many of their models which can be verified by calling viking and providing your full model/serial numbers. If your Fridge door is lower than the freezer door you most likely have a worn door closer located on the lower hinge of the fridge door, the closer is a 2 piece plastic interlocking/mating unit which wears down over time from friction. This usually needs to be replaced. Pleazer Appliance...

Condensation in the right door of my VCFF136 the gasket is teared, I don't now what caused what first?

Hi,

Condensation is cause by warm air meeting cold air. I would suspect the door gasket was the cause of the condensation. When looking this up, I found many different models under this number, part number 67003547, this gasket is black in color and is a push on, means no screws required to change.

I hope this helps

One of the doors (on the Viking french door fridge) opens too wide (180 degrees). I want to tighten it so it only opens slightly more than 90 degrees. The other door is fine. Thanks.

Check with your Viking rep. I have the same problem and got word from Viking they are coming up with a new hinge doorstop at different angles. It will come in a form of a kit. The one I'm getting is about 100 degree opening. The problem I had was the door was hitting and adjacent electric oven from Viking. It just swung too wide.

Refrigerator (VCFF136SSS3) internal temperature is over 70 degrees. The compressor does not seem to be coming on. Controls are unresponsive to lowering the temperature manually.

There is a recall on Viking refrigerator hinges. Check and see if your refrigerator falls under this recall. It may just require a new hinge. The recall hotline # is 888-345-2650.

You call also see if it falls in this category.
VCSB483, DDSB483, DFSB483, DTSB483 Date codes before 030104 (on serial # ). Go to this site to see if you fall under the recall.
