Is there a driver for games?

When you play any games on a laptop it will heat up because the graphics card or chip will be working much more than usual... Graphics cards consume a lot of power and thus put off a lot of heat when taxed. If it runs fine for a minute and then shuts down you are more than likely having an overheating issue...

Check your exhaust fans and vents to make sure they are not all clogged up with dust and dirt... If they are then clean them out with a can of air...

You should also get yourself a decent laptop cooler... They are pretty cheap and will prolong the life of you laptop for sure... Heat Kills Electronics...

I cannot get into my gmail account and message tells me that gmail having issues. I believe something set on computer is not allowing me access. Help!

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Have you tried using another browser? If you are on IE, you can download Firefox and try it from there to see if that is the issue. A lot of times, reinstalling your browser (IE, Firefox etc) will help with this issue.

If you have IE , you have to actually repair it. If it is FireFox, you have to uninstall and then reinstall it again. Most of the time, this is nothing more than a browser issue. Try that first and see how it works. It may also be gmail having issues just for that time period, but you will know for sure as soon as you try to use another browser.

Hope this helps! good luck!

My internet explorer 9 is always shutting down without apparent reason, especially when trying to share a video from youtube onto facebook

I would suggest for the meantime to move back to IE 8 as there are lots of issues with IE 9 as of today July 15, 2011. I wrote down information how to put it back to IE8.
1.Go to the Add or Remove Programs section of the Control Panel. In Windows 7 you will find this just below the address bar when you open my computer. 2. On the Add or Remove Programs make sure to show updates 3. When the list has been populated, scroll down until you find the Internet Explorer section 4. Remove/uninstall Internet Explorer 9 leaving the Internet Explorer 8 on the list 5. After completing the removal, reboot your computer You should now have Internet Explorer 8 active on your system.

1st: can't open gmail w ie; 2nd ie keeps shutting down

Hi, It seems that you might have installed some addons for IE and now you are in the situation. All you need to do it open Internet Options from Control Panel. Then in Advanced tab, click on Reset. Resetting Internet Explorer resets all settings to manufactures' default and in the process you will lose all saved passwords on Internet Explorer and you will have to re-enter them again upon use. Once done, fire-up IE and click on Tools menu > Internet Options and reset IE from Advanced tab once again from here as well. It means you will reset IE two times, first from Control Panel and then from IE window itself. Once done try to use IE and see the result.
However there are few addons available with Mozilla Firefox that resembles IE inside and opens all webpages that requires IE only. Download Coral IE Tab from: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10909
Installed the addons and switch the view to IE to open all webpages that supports IE only.
Cheers!

Some of the files has been corrupted or deleted. There would be 3 options :-

1. Upgarde IE. If using IE8, repair it.
2.Install Windows again.
3.Use other browser like firefox, google chrome etc.

Thanks.

Download FireFox.. Internet Explorer is having problem or you have virues/spyware killing IE.
Try Firefox or Google Chrome (that's small and fast to try) IE shutting down is not monitor problem.

Lots of distortion

You are either expecting too much from the system or something is overdriven somewhere.

Check the level controls "gain structure" is about having each item in the chain that has a volume control set at the ideal level, rather than having one thing on max and another on min to compensate.

Also, check wiring. Partial short circuits can cause issues such as this. A full short circuit would likely cause the unit to shut down completely.
