Just uninstall the current chrome and install the latest version of chrome if available. But just restart after uninstalling and after the installing the new one, this make some temp file and crashed file completely removed and new file to take place. So it will now work properly.

Try uninstalling again, and after uninstalling, remove the 'Chrome' folder from the application data folder.
If you are using Windows 7, the folder will be located at:
Substitute "(USER)" with your user id. For instance, if your user id is 'Fred' then your folder would be at:
If you are using Windows XP, the folder will likely be located at
C:\Documents and Settings\(USER)\Application Data\
Delete only the 'Chrome' folder, and not any other such as googleearth.
If you're unsure of what you're doing, you may also rename the folder to something like 'wasChrome', that way the folder isn't available to the future Chrome installation, but is still 'there'.
Once you've gotten rid of the Chrome folder, reinstall and this may solve all your problems.
