The wii isn't responding and it isn't reacting to the controllers

The wii was turned off and in standby, a little while, later when I tunrned it on all it does is flash the blue disk light onc.
There is still a game in the drive, there is nothing on the screen and the controllers arren't corresponding to the wii. Its like the system isn't activating completely.
But the green light is on.

Just got a new wii and it was working fine but now the controller has stopped working and the wii wont connect to the tv???? Can you help????

Hello!

First: Check to see if the batteries are good, easiest way to do this is try putting different batteries in that you know are good.

Second: If your batteries are not the problem, then first, open the memory card door (little door on the front of the console under the CD slot) and press the red button(or known as the sync button) and open the battery case and press the little red button(or known as the sync button) and it should reconnect.

Third: If the Wii is showing that your Wii Mote is connected but it isn't responding, make sure your Sensor bar is in a clearly visible location in front of or on top of the TV. Make sure that it is properly plugged into the Wii in back.

Fourth: If none of these resolved the issue it is likely that your Wii Mote is just flat out broken. If you just purchased your Wii I suggest contacting Nintendo to RMA (return) the Wii Mote for a new one.

Our wii is not responding to the remote controls although they ARE BRAND NEW.

Have you synced your Wii remotes to the Wii yet? To sync, you have to take the battery cover off of the wii remote and the little vertical rectangle door on the front of the Wii and hold both red buttons. Your Wii remotes should work afterwards.

The B button stopped working

It's possible that the button has broken. There's two ways you can go about this.
  1. You can replace the button yourself, there's guides to doing such things (Google, "Replacing Wii buttons"), but it will take paticence and time, maybe some money.
  2. Or you can buy a new Wii controller if your not patient, or you don't have the time.
Hope this helped. Good Luck!

My wii will not power off the little light goes from green (when turned on) to orangekind of color.....this did not happen before until now that i set up my wireless internet to it

Your Wii is set to be on 24 connect. When you turn it off it goes into a stand by mode that allows it to get data for the weather, news, and shop channel. As well as get emails in. Its fine like it is. But if you want it to turn off, you'll have to go into the options and disable the Wii 24 Connect.

Wii and Gamecube controllers do not work for Wii

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but have you synced your controllers lately?

Open the little drop over under the disk tray (the place where you put the SD card) and press and hold the red button in there, open the battery cover for the wiimote and press and hold that little red button. Wait till both the controller and the system respond. Basically, they have to find eachother again.

I hope this helps.

Caid.

My wii gets warm when it is powered down

This is because you have it in standby mode. You'll also notice the wii light is orange when off, this is standby mode. If it's off the light will be red. You goto connect24 to turn off standby.
