Filter clean and reset procedure

Help me somebody! I have a 60" DLP I bought in late 04. Worked sweet till last night. I got a Service air filter message. Cut off in 1 min. It did. I visited your site briefly, and found no exact match for my model. I removed the front panl. and found the bulb-cooling fan. There is NO way it has a serviceable filter from the front. No door or anything on the rt. side. Must have been a 42 inch thing. I carefully vacuumed the top filter area of the fan. Took the back cover off for grinns. Vac,ed that too. I was able to acess the internal menu by pressing the down button and tvvideo. All i coud see was I have 950 hrs on it. No way to acess any other menu items. Got out of that by turning the set off. Can You give me the correct service and reset prociedure for my model? I think Ive cleaned all there is to clean without major dissassembly. Thanks Rob from lewisville Texas.. 940 390 2033 Robfranke1@aol.com

    sorry will, Thanks for the timely response! I thought the model # was with the post. 2004 Panasonic 60" DLP PT-60LC-14

    I think maybe due to the mod# nothing else will be required. Ill try it tonite. I read several others had ongoing messages. & Unable to clear. I will also make sure its not overheating and just doing its job. ...Just, Really unclear as to where the "serviceable filter" is.

What is the model of the set is it a mitsubishi. I suspect the reason youmay be getting this message. you still getting the message.. is that the thermal sensor essentally the thermometer of the set is faulting i have read reports on mitsubish with thermal sensor problems.

After turning on the projector, I get a message that says clean the filter and reset the timer. How do I do that? I have cleaned the filter.

Procedure for resetting filter time.
Pressing the RESET button for about 3 seconds displays the FILTER TIME menu. Select the RESET using button to reset the timer. : RESET <- CANCEL Selecting the RESET resets the count of the lamp timer to 0. memo Perform this function only when you have cleaned or replaced the air filter. The filter timer counts the used time of the air filter after cleaning or replacement, to display the messages about the air filter. Incorrect performing causes incorrect operation of the messages. memo About caring for the air filter, please refer to the section "Air Filter".
Users manual located here. http://www.aboutprojectors.com/pdf/hitachi-cp-x1250-manual.pdf
Good info deserves a good thumbs up! Thank you!

P1 and P2 error codes

Danby's Consumer Help Line (1-800-263-2629) is always busy. So, I called their General number: 419-425-8627. The receptionist transferred my call to their Service dept. My call was answered in 2 minutes.

The Service Rep. described the following code for my dehumidifier model (DDR657EE):
P1 = Defrosting: the unit will go into Defrost mode periodically to ensure that the parts are working at the right operating temperature. It should be in Defrost (P1) mode for only a brief period of time. If the unit is in Defrost (P1) mode continuously for a couple of hours (or more), then you should call Danby Service for further assistance.

He had no documentation of a P2 code for my model.

He also described other General Codes (applicable to most Dehumidifier/Humidifier models):
E1 = Not enough water
E2 = Not draining
E3 = Water temperature too cool
E4 = Overflow Switch activated
E6 / E7 = Problem with Temperature Sensor

I hope that helps.
