PARTS NUMBER

Hello Jerry;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You need to provide a model number for me to give you the gasket part number and price. The model number is on a label in your fresh food section on the upper side wall.

You have a bottom freezer, Right? These bottom freezer drawers are had to seal all of the time. They can get off track and not seal properly. It is not uncommon for them to ice up around the door gasket.

Lets try this first:

1.) Clean the gasket.

2.) With a hair dryer and a kitchen spatula, Heat the gasket while pulling gentle out on the gasket, to expand the gasket.

3.) Run a piece of paper between the gasket and the freezer front. If you can do this, then you still do not have a solid seal.

What's the parts number of the gasket Seal

Find out the make and model number of your refrigerator [a serial number may be helpful also].
Do a Google search and include the make, model and which gasket you are looking for; something like this:
Kenmore model 665 door gasket
You will find a number of sellers and you may have to re-enter the same information in the seller's website search box.
Sometimes they will only show the seller's part number and sometimes they will also lidt the manufacturer's part number.

Condensation in the right door of my VCFF136 the gasket is teared, I don't now what caused what first?

Hi,

Condensation is cause by warm air meeting cold air. I would suspect the door gasket was the cause of the condensation. When looking this up, I found many different models under this number, part number 67003547, this gasket is black in color and is a push on, means no screws required to change.

I hope this helps

The freezer gasket is no longer sealing properly allowing frost to buildup around the edges which eventually falls into the refrig area, thaws and leaves a puddle. Can we replace the gasket?

Yes, the gasket is replaceable, for modest cost and difficulty=easy.
Where to get new gasket: take exact Mfr. & model number (and serial number) of fridge
to your nearest
major appliance parts store (see yellow pages). Call them, to see if they have your replacement
gasket in stock, or may need to order it.
How to replace gasket: pull back inner edge of gasket until your see the 1/4-in hex head machine
screws attaching it to the freezer door. Using nutdriver, unscrew old gasket's screws, and
install new gasket by reversing the procedure, starting with the top middle screw, and proceeding
around the edges.
Its a "nutdriver project." If for some reason the screws are too rusted to re-use, an equivalent screw
(just match the diameter and length) is easily
(and inexpensively) obtained at your nearest hardware store - you won't even need to return to the
appliance parts store.
This procedure works for most standard freezer-over-fridge units - you can include your exact
Mfr. and model number in your next query for more precise info.

The pump is leaking from the small gasket coming out of the side. Can I get a new gasket? jkarrer@cox.net

yes, but, why don't you check fist the gasket, maybe it just came out and need to put it back on track with glue sealant so that it won't come no more, if the gasket is not broken. if broken, just go to sears warehouse and give them the serial number, model number or parts number, either of the three they need it. ok.

Broken door gasket how to replace on GE front

You'll need to determine which bellows gasket your washer needs before you undertake the repair. Go to the following link and enter in your washer model number to get the line drawing and parts breakdown.

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action?pop=flush
Click on the "find a part" and enter in your model number

Typically, the tub gasket (door seal) is part number #WH08X10022 with a new substitution part #WH08X10036. However, since each model can be slightly different, depending on the serial number which denotes when it was manufactured, you might want to confirm that the above gasket is the correct one for your particular washer.

You can also call the folks at Sears Parts Direct at 1-800-252-1698 and give them your complete model number AND serial number before you start in on the repair, so you can be sure you have the correct substitution bellows gasket.

It's a relatively easy repair, all you need to do is remove the spring retaining wire around the outer edge of the bellows gasket, just peel it back at the edge to see it. Now locate the locking loop by going around the rim. Once you find the locking loop, you can remove it using a couple pairs of small needle nose pliers as they make it easier to get off.

Once you've done that, you'll see the locking plate that holds the back side of the bellows gasket onto the outer washer tub. Remove those fasteners and you can get the bellows off and start in on putting the new bellows onto the washer, just reversing the order you used in the removal process.

Just take your time removing the old gasket so you remember what you're doing and when installing the new gasket so as not to rip or tear it in the process. I'd also suggest you let the gasket relax for a good 4-5 hours (to get the kinks and folds out of it from the packing box) before you do the installation.

Here's another link to one of my other solutions for installing a bellows gasket on a GE front loading washer that you can also review for more installation tips, etc.
