Question about Cell Phones
On some android devices there might be thumbnail copies of the files in the internal memory, but they would be fairly useless in terms of usability. If the SD card has failed you may be able to use a recovery tool to access some of the data through your PC, PhotoRec works pretty well with most SD cards.

SOURCE: LG PHONE PICTURES INTO COMPUTER
If you bought the SD card from Verizon then you should have another card where you insert the card into the regular sized and it works that way. Good luck!!

Definitely Yes! First of all, you should stop saving any new files to your Samsung smart phone (or SD card) or taking new pictures.
Then find some photo recovery software from this site Best Computer Software, which are able to recover deleted or formatted photos from cell phone, digital camera, memory card and SD card etc.
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Download and install the Digital Photo Recovery Software.
Step 2: Connect your Samsung smart phone (or SD card, memory card etc) to your PC or Mac.
Step 3: Scan the source drive where your lost pictures located.
Step 4: Recover the lost pictures and save them to another drive instead of the source drive.
