Typical 'motor over heat' or weak thermostat problem. Try starting the dryer just after it over heats. What happens..A humming sound?...motor is overheating and seized up....if quiet, could be motor as well. Check that your dryer vents are open and clear.

SOURCE: DV328aew/xaa Samsung frontload dryer. dryer spins

Hi

If the dryer is not drying the clothes then you would need to check for the following things-

1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.
2. Check for the amp reading at 240 V, it should have reading of 24, 21 and 3 amp (approx.) for 2 lines and neutral respectively.
3. Heating element may have turned or the connection to the element might be loose. Sometimes a shorted circuit element will keep on blowing the fuse or circuit breaker.
4. Motor wiring shorting to ground. You can check out the exploded parts diagram for your dryer on this link---

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more assistance.

SOURCE: dv328aew/xaa dryer not heating

If the fuses at the panel are ok then could be the heater, thermostats, sensor or control.

check the motor if running? if running check the back ofyour unit when you see the exhaust pipe and clean it,and the filter inside thedryer clean it,if this one is ok.the sensor of your dryer or the heater is totally wort out, check the backof unit and look when place the heater?some model is easy to remove the heater at the back, just using screw driver, and easyto check,if the heater is continious coil it is ok,if split or broken replacethe new one, carefully to remove and carefully to return, make sure is the unit inunplug before anything to do.

Gas dryer turns off when load is nit dry

You may want to clean out the dryer's insides as well as your venting that leads outside. This may be the reason your dryer isn't fully drying. It basically isn't running efficiently enough due to age or lint build up or both. As far as the running after it's cooled down it may be a "wrinkle guard" where it tumbles the clothes until they have cooled down.

The cooling light is always on, and it takes about 90 minutes to dry a load.

In normal operation as the dryer is drying the "drying" light flashes and the "cooling" light is on steady until the 5 minute cooldown at which time the "drying" light stays on steady and the "cooling" light flashes. click on this lg link
