What would be some more powerful motherboard upgrade on a a6700f HP with 630watts and dual monitor graphics card from ATI?

any top Asus mobo is best, IMO. no better.
ever go to there web site?
how are you doing that. from what media, and who's
HP media. (nah, ,its not supported.
? what media, why not say that first.
(Stick,CD/DVD, ? )
btw if you do that, (W7) the HP disks are now useless. , alien mobo's. are never supported by HP.
(the HP lic with MS dictates that, its a discounted OEM license)
{vista or w7}

do you have full retail license for w8?
why not put in a new SSD drive, ending HDD horrors. now.

i cant guess the bottle neck is the HDD. or infections.
internet speed, HDD? or what. or media installs?
or was infected and then fails to upgrade over infections.
do a fresh install, is best, for SURE.

if that is slow, from a USB mem stick, (not CD)
then the HDD is bad.
if using any CD or DVD to install it will take many long hours.
CD are slow.

a6700f HP desktop came with Vista or w7

HP does NOT support W8 on this pC.
why try to buck that rule?

if you were do that you'd need new MS disks, (HP dont have them)
so did you get MS disks
or buy a MS coa key from MS?
then down load the MS dot com,, ISO file.
then burn the USB stick with this ISO
then boot to the USB stick and install w8 fresh?
only this might work,
but be advised the HP drivers do NOT work on W8.
(a few might) but not all.
ONCE here, only you and microsoft can fix this pc. its not HP now.
the product is years old now. in 3 more years zero support.

I'd try this.
W8 license. (coa key) and downloaded w8 ISO file.
new sdd
put w8 on the USB ISO stick, boot to this stick
do a full fresh W8 install.
be connected to the internet using a wired Ethernet cable to your router.

if this fails maybe your PSU is bad
or system is overheating, fans dead, psu fan dead, or tons of dust in pc blocking all vents and fans,.

first pc year for this pc is 2008 (carbondated by me)
never see any 9year old CP, will have problems and full of dust.

that is it, seen vast pc fail for vast reasons, bad MOBO , rare.

Unfortunately, Windows 7 removed native support for bluetooth headsets, for absolutely no reason.

The drivers are actually not needed for the Headset specifically, but rather for the A2DP and AVRCP profiles and audio sink. The downside is that Microsoft's Bluetooth stack does not support either of these.

So you need a Better Bluetooth Stack, so it understands all of the virtual Bluetooth devices.

These directions work for almost any headset that has issues when connected to Windows. Sadly, there is no really good well-defined set of drivers for Windows Bluetooth, so it will frequently take some finagling.

1: Find the correct and absolutely most-up-to-date drivers for your Bluetooth hardware on your computer. In -MOST- cases, the chipset is Broadcom, however manufacturers such as Dell and others tend to put some odd wrappers around the chip so their drivers are required. If not, the direct-from-Broadcom drivers will work.

2: IF the Bluetooth hardware is already detected by Windows, delete it from device manager. Reboot the computer if this was done.

3: On reboot, Windows may detect it and reinstall it fresh. This is fine if it does. Allow it to install and reboot if it requests.

Once the Windows stack is installed properly, you can install the updated stack. With Dell drivers and other OEM computer manufacturer drivers, Windows may not detect it to begin with, however having Windows drivers first is not necessary with these drivers.

4: Install the proper driver. With the Broadcom driver, this will only work if Windows has already installed. With OEM drivers, this is often not necessary. Reboot if necessary.

With the happy stack installed, and the headset paired, you will find that instead of just Handsfree Telephony and Headset services, you will also have Remote Control and Audio Sink services.

Headset/Handsfree: Mono 38kbps audio out and also a microphone input. This is what is used for phone calls. It sounds horrid, mind you.

Audio Sink: Stereo happiness and joy. No microphone input.

Once you have these devices, you do need to set your audio playback device appropriately for Stereo Happiness and Joy.

Bluetooth not working on windos 8

Lenovo do not have Windows 8 bluetooth drivers on their support site.
You could try loading the WIndows 7 drivers (Broadcom Bluetooth Driver for Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit)

G6-2210us usb 3.0 Host Controller

w8 was day1, OS. per
HP does not support w7. on this LT.
w7 32bit or 64bit, ?????
so its doomed to fail.? sure, and so you discovered that.

you clicked, "load automatcially in DM" with or with out internet connected, (yes, be connected is always best)

there are only 3 ways to do this, (if possible at all, im a driver expert)
1: read the HP page, , no w7 there, zero support w7, checked.
2; open PC, read numbers off the chip, amazing no? find the chip?
3: or run the PCI scanner, I uses, and let that nice tool find the chip and its real maker name (code) and chip code.
bingo #3 is easy lacking support.
4: or ask on HP forum, well its there. ananswer.

so lets do HP first,
it says at that it came with W8.
so you downgraged it to w7, and HP dont support down grades.
my guess is w8 was infected, and you didnt reload, w8 from scratch using F11 key, Restore, Am I correct?

W7 lacks drivers for chips not invented back in 2009?
your pc is newer than 2009 , and W7 may have no drivers for it.
if you look close *(unlike my elitebook) the w8 has the usb3 driver inside windows,8 and 8.1 already. so no HP driver is offered.
then you go to W7 and expect to find it there,

here is how to use the PCI scanner a free program.
run this and it tells you every chip in the system.
almost. all.
then when you find, USB3,
get the 2 codes.
mfg maker code, and chip code.
with that we go to the actual MFG and find a driver.
some chips in the HP are buried deeper and only HP drivers work

on my LT, the USB 3 is (usb2 is intel)
is NEC company
chip code 0194h= upd720200

In April 2009, Renesas Technology and NEC Electronics reached a basic agreement to merge by around April 2010.
see , you need to know these facts to find drivers.
its not NEC now.
its Renesas, (mine , not yours, this is but 1 example)

some USB chips need a reflash, or have bad drivers.

I have dell d630. bluetooth is turned on from BIOS but not getting icon in my system tray. No idea what is the problem.

Step By Step:
1. rightclick My Computer, click Manage.
2. go to Device manager, and find your bluetooth radio. It will most likely have a <!> Icon because windows does not know what it is.

3. rightclick the bluetooth radio and do Properties, advanced.
4. Find your device's HWID (HardwareID), the shortest one listed.

Next we will tell windows to use a driver it already HAS, to run the radio.

5. open up c:\windows\inf\bth.inf in notepad.
You will notice a section of entries like:
Broadcom bth58685 = USB\1232134234

6. Create a new line with whatever name you'd like it to show up with, and your HWID from device manager.

7. save the file.

8. go back to device manager, rightclick the bluetooth radio and do 'update driver', 'find driver automatically'.

9. If you've done steps 5 - 7 right, it'll find the driver, install Microsoft Bluetooth Support, and you'll be up and running.
