Temp shows 400 but oven is at 300

Is it continues to heat up then its working fine...if it continues to heat pass 400 then your have a thermostat problem and the oven is out of control. I do believe that the display is not an actual reading of the oven temperature, instead it is a reading of where the operator has set the temperature to . I have yet to see an oven with a actual reading temperature display.

The oven will not heat up, it will say start, I enter the temperature I would like it to heat up, it will say that on the display, I can hear some noise (sounds like a fan) but there is no heat. And the...

Good morning, the fan noise is probably the cooling fan in the control compartment. With an electric oven, it could be a resettable thermostat that tripped and needs to be reset. Or it could be a bad heating element. Display will display lot if it can't bring the oven temp up. Hope that helps.

BXA2G oven is not heating properly and also air-flow on display board is not stablising and also both set temperature and oven temperature is flashing.so can you email me aa manual please

Your temperatures will begin flashing after the oven attempted to heat for 10 minutes without successfully increasing in temperature. Sound like you are having burner issues and should call a licensed burner technician to have it serviced.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

As the oven heats up toward the set temperature,

Usually this is a problem with the temperature sensor or it's wiring. Sometimes this is caused by a failure in the control board. If you eliminate the temperature sensor as being the cause (either by measuring its resistance or by replacing it) and it seems to be the control board, then we can help you with that. We fix control boards at www.fixyourboard.com.

After self cleaning the oven, now the oven won't heat up

Usually this is caused by either a bad temperature sensor, a shorted wiring harness, or commonly a faulty controller. The temperature sensor and wiring can be checked with an ohm meter.

When you program the oven for a high temperature what does the display read after ten minutes or so?

Temp display shows 444

If everything on your B1691N0GB oven seems to be working, i.e. all the lights are on and fan comes on in fan oven setting, but there is no heat from fan oven, conventional oven or grill, try turning your oven off at the mains, then turn on again. If the temperature display then shows 444, your oven is locked. To unlock, make sure the central control knob is in the "out" position, then press the fan oven and light buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds or so, until 333 appears on the display. Your oven is now unlocked.
