Question about Panasonic Lands Phones
Ball park guess is that something got spilled on the speaker. If you are handy you could replace the speaker yourself with just about any speaker you can find that fits in the space. This could also be the switch that changes it over to speaker phone. If this is the case then you will need to replace the circuit board that controls this. Much easier and cheaper to find a different one at a garage sale. I see them all the time for 1 to 3 dollars.

You don't "lose" the manual, it comes on a CD. The Panasonic system probably has a TVA voice mail system and it requires you to change the Auto Attendant greeting from the message manager's mailbox. If you don't have the passwords for mailbox 998 and 999, you need to contact someone who has them and a layout of the system.
Your Panasonic technician can guide you through the process.
