You have to be careful burning any cds. You need to burn using nero and make the cd an mp3 jukebox or burn as a cda (ordinary cd) the files from itunes may have had to be converted or a codec pack installed on your computer before attempting this. I use total audio converter to convert music from one format to another. I use K-Lite Mega codec pack (free off any codec site)

also many of these systems only play cda not mp3 because they can't understand codecs

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Why won't bose play some cds

Could it be the CDs you can't play, are burned in a PC?
Not all CD players can or will play CD's burned in a PC. Sometimes the CD player is to old, so not compatible with these CDs. Sometimes the player just does not play these CD's, because of rights protection.
A CD burned in a PC is less reflective than an normal music CD. Normal CD's do have a metal coating and are highly reflective. Burned CD's have a dye, and where the laser burned the dye, it only changed colour. Making it less reflective.
All modern CD playes should be capable of playing CD r's. But the player that is really compatible, is labelled CDr and CDrw compatible.

I have a Bose Lifestyle 35 Series II and want to know whether it's compatible with a DVD+RW. I'll burn it in a Toshiba recorder, finalize it and then play it on the Bose. Will it play?

Hi This what Bose say about formats

"The Lifestyle® 35 system plays DVD-video in interlaced format, as well as music on CD, CD-R (recordable) and CD-RW (re-writable). The system also plays MP3 files on CD and AM/FM radio. "

So by the sound of this i suspec that you may struggle with DVD/RW. but my best advice is try it.

I have a bose acoustic wave, single disc model CD-3000. The CD is not working, the CD spins but won't play. The radio works great.

Had the same problem. Mine the cd drive got out of alignment. Sorry to say the fix is to have it replaced. BOSE will do this for about $150. Typically this includes the one year service agreement, a full system "tune up" and a one year warrenty.

Call BOSE and they will take care of you.
