Question about Vtech ATT VoIP Gateway System Router

Installing My router isn't working after unplugging it to paint a wall, when plugged back in only 2 lights are coming on and it's not connecting to internet. There isn't a problem with our service, it's the router or possibly the piggy back in the house. Can you help?

Always make sure to have less than 2 splitters between it and the road 3 usually is the point that modems won't work right.

My routers sys light are off only the power is in on

Unplug the unit from the wall and unplug all the plugs. Then replug them and try again. Sometimes the plug to the wall may experience some corrosion of a light coat to the plug or socket.
It sounds like your router is not connecting to the server.
Does the transmit light flash quickly at any time? If not, then it could be an issue of the setup inside the router.

Turn off your modem (unplug it from the wall or surge protector).

Once you have done this, wait for at least ten seconds, if not one full minute. (This allows the modem to reset itself)

Plug the modem back into the wall or surge protector.

The modem will begin its start-up sequence and finally it should respond with a "blinking" connectivity light.

If you have a wireless or wired router connected to your modem you must make certain that you follow the next steps, or the router may not work to provide you with an Internet connection.

1. Unplug the Modem.
2. Unplug the Router.
3. Wait for one full minute.
4. Plug the Modem back in to the wall or surge protector.
5 Wait for the modem to complete its start-up sequence.
6. Plug in the router. (if you plugged in the router the same time you plugged in your modem, start at step #1 and try again...)
7. Wait for the router to finish its start-up sequence.
8. Test the connectivity to the Internet.

If this does not work, please add some clarification as to what service provider you are using, the type of modem/brand, and if you have a router...

My wife yanked the phone line from the wall and thats when my 2 wire DSL gateway model 2701HG-B modem quit working i plugged into other parts of the house But i just keeps blinking red like its still...


Try to unplug power on back of your modem. Let the phone line plugged in. Wait 10 seconds and plug the power back.

Wait about 1 minute and try it with your computer. This procedure will reconnect using a new IP address on your internet service provider.

It should work if you don't have a router. If you have a router attached to your modem, unplug power on both then plug your modem first and wait 1 min. Then plug back your router and wait 1 min. Try your internet connection after doing it. If you still don't have connection, try to restart your computer.

-Unable to access the router's webpage. -The router is 'trying' connect to modem (modem light flashing, internet light off) despite the fact it's already connected.

Have to unplug router and modem to reset both for approx. 2 min. Then plug in modem first let that reset and all lights come back on (except router light) then when that has finished booting do the same with the router. It should work.

It sounds like you have lost the connection with the ISP
Contact your cable provider and see if you can get a reset on the CMTS
They provided. the reset your router. To default and use the software to set up the router for the different wireless device you have by either MAC address or by name. You will have to log into the router to do this. using either or depending how your manufacturer of the router you have has configured it. You may also ask your provider for assistance for the main computer ( PC).

No modem or internet lights on my Belkin Router

connect the cable coming out of the modem to the isolated yellow coloured(wan) port of the router....connect another cable between your computer and any one of the grey coloured ports....check for the light status now...if its fine try going online...if not type in internet explore and login ti router setup page(password leave it blank...)if your isp is cable then go to connection type and select dynamic...also go to mac clone and click on "clone"tab once and apply changes...but for this purpose you should connect only the computer from which you got connecton from the ISP..if its a dsl connection select dynamic in connection type, it ll work...after applying remove the power supply to the modem and router by unplugging the power cable wait for 2 minutes and plug it back again...if your modem comes with a battery backup then remove the battery wait for a minute and plug back while the power cable is unplugged...if your modem is embarq or bell canada or bell sympatico or century link, then login to routerpage and click on lan settings and change the lan ip address from to It should work....

My router resets and all the lights come on and it's no longer connected, I have to unplug it and it connects again but only for about 20 min then all the lights come on again and the connection drops

Check the other end of the power cord to make sure it isn't loose. Check to make sure your wall plug isn't intermittent or attached to a light switch elsewhere in the room. Otherwise, I'd say it's time for a new router.

How do i hook up my belkin f5d7230-4 router to hughes net internet when there is only one ethernet port?

Connect that one port to your Belkin WAN (Internet)connector (Yellow Port). The other ports go to other computers, to their Broadband RJ45 connectors.
Here's from the manual:
1. Unplug your existing modem’s power supply.
Find the cable connecting your modem and computer.
Unplug it from the modem and plug it into the gray port
on the Belkin Router.
If you are replacing an existing router, find the cable
connecting the computer and old router. Disconnect it from
the old router and plug it into the gray port on the new router
2. Connect the new cable (provided in the box) to the yellow
port on the Router. Plug the other end into the modem.

3. Plug in your modem’s power supply. Wait 60 seconds for the
modem to start up.
Plug the Router’s power supply into a wall outlet, and the

No Lan/WAN connection

Unplug the router, wait 2 min, and plug it back in. If that work, on the back is a small hole, marked RESET. Using a pencil, or straightne out a large paperclip, press that the button inside gently. Hold it for 30 sec. Release and unplug the unit. Shut down the whole network. "Starting from the wall", power up the modem, wait 2 min, power up the router, and power up your machine. Your router should be at default now. Remember to reset you security, change the password, etc.
I have had to do this several times, sometimes unplugging the power, and plugging it back while holding the button. (Got 3 hand?)
Have you had a storm, or lightning issues lately? Sounds like it got a spike. Living the Florida, where lightning is very common, I have finally put my routers on a small UPS.

DI 707P router stops working.


I'm not sure about your Router whether you use it for Cable or DSL.
If you use it for cable, unscrew the coaxial cable and do factory defaults your router and re-plug the coaxial.
- if it is DSL, isolate the filter/spliter and connect the phone cable directly from the walljack to the router and do factory defaults the device. re-configure the router.
- Check the firmware version of the device whether it is latest one.
