Question about RCA CC4352 Camcorder

3 Answers

Internal battery Hello! I have an RCA CC4352 Camcorder and I have been told by the RCA techs that I need to replace the internal battery. Of course they want me to send it to a repair shop of their choice, but I am very capable of changing the battery myself. My question is: "Where is the battery located"? I do not want to completely dis-assemble the whole unit if that is not necessary. Can you help me with this issue? I would sure appreciate any help that you can offer.

Thanks for the reply. However, I am fully aware of the battery that is on the outside rear of the camera. There is also a smaller battery INSIDE the camera That is the one that I need to get to so that I can change it rather than pay a repair person a lot of dollars.

I knew about the external battery. I need to know how to get to the internal battery.

Thanks. Unfortunately, our cameras must be different models as I do not seem to have the slot/drawer that you mentioned. I have the RCA CC4352.

Hi, In my camera, it is underneath very near where the tripod is attached. It is marked CR2032, 3V Lithium. It is inside a small plastic slot/drawer that slips out when pried from the main camera housing. There is a small indentation where a small screwdriver may be inserted.

    Hi again,

You right. The most that I can gather is that it is a rechargeable type inside that needs to be recharge at least every 2 months.

Here's the battery you need: http://www.batteries.com/productprofile.asp?appid=254536 It's not inside the camera, it's the rectangular black box located on the back of the camera. It should just slide off.

Have a rca cc4352 camcorder-the power light comes on but the charger light doesnt ?

I'am leaning towards the battery as the problem, but it would be worth while to check that the charger is putting out a voltage before you commit to a battery, a quick test by a repair shop is worth the time.

RCA cc540 VHS camcorder

Hi, Try running the camera using the AC power (charger) instead of the battery. If the viewfinder works then, it is possible that the replacement battery somehow is not suited for your particular brand/model and is not capable of supplying all the need voltages/power. Try continuously charging the battery for 16 hrs at least to see if this will correct the problem. If even in using the AC power (adapter) instead of the battery, the view finder is still off, then you have a camera fault. Normal problem for this is the thin flexible flat cable that attaches the screen to the electronics inside the camera. In some case, it is the backlight of the display that is at fault. Either which would require the services of a qualified professional. Hope this be of some help/idea to you. Good luck and kind regards.

Lose time and date stamp on power off

According to the manual, you need to power up your 710 with the AC adapter for 4 hours to recharge the internal battery. If this doesn't work, I suppose you need to replace the internal battery, and that's beyond my knowledge.

My camcorder is turning off by itself.

For Models: CC4252, CC4352, CC4362, CC4392, CC4393 If your camcorder is left in Record-Pause or Play-Pause for several minutes, it turns off automatically to prevent wear on your tape. Set the CAMERA/OFF/VCR switch to OFF and then to CAMERA or VCR to turn it back on.

My camcorder doesn't work

For Models: CC4252, CC4352, CC4362, CC4392, CC4393 You need to reset your camcorder. Follow these steps: * Remove the power source. * After one minute, gently press the RESET button with a nonmetallic pointed item until you feel a "click." This resets the camcorder to the factory settings and erases the date, time, and custom settings. * Wait for at least one minute after resetting the camcorder to attach a power supply.
