Question about HP StorageWorks LTO-4 Ultrium 1760 SAS Internal Tape DriveEH919A Tape Drive
When I press the switch button then its on but when I release the power button then its going to off
You have only given a very brief outline of the issue but it sounds like you have a problem with the external chassis of your external LTO4 drive.
A new external chassis may be all that is required and this is a cheap component compared to the drive inside.
If you contact www.tape-drive-repair.com they usually have this sort of thing on the shelf ready to go, or could give you a price for them to repair and warranty the whole drive.
