My blower motor is not working

Hello Kyra,

I cannot offer any specific information as I have no idea what vehicle you are referring to. In general the first place to start when diagnosing electrical problems is to make sure the accessory is receiving power.

Look in your owners manual for the fuse box location and the position of the fuse protecting the circuit for the heater/defrost motor.

If the fuse is okay then test for power at the connector to the blower motor. If the blower switch is providing power to the motor and the motor is not working..it is most likely that the motor has failed. Test the motor by directly providing battery power...if the motor still fails to run it is defective.

Location of the power window relay in a 1998 cadillac eldorado

http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams !
Left Front Power Window Switch
The battery voltage is applied from the WINDOWS circuit breaker through CKT 42 (RED) to the accessory time delay relay. The accessory time delay relay supplies voltage through CKT 70 (PNK) to the left front power window switch under the following conditions:
?€¢
The ignition is in the RUN position.

?€¢
The retained accessory power (RAP) is active.

When an UP switch on the left front power window switch is operated, the battery voltage is applied to the power window motor. The power window motor is grounded through the DOWN contacts of the left front power window switch to G204. The motor runs in order to drive the power window up. When a DOWN switch in the left front power window switch is operated, the battery voltage is applied to the power window motor in the opposite direction. The power window motor is grounded through the UP contacts in the left front power window switch to G204. The motor runs in order to drive the power window down.

My 2002 Chrysler town and country blower fan works when ignition is in accessory mode but when car is running there seems to be a great draw on the engine. Do you know what might be wrong?

In accessory mode you won't notice the high current draw because the alternator is out of the circuit and the engine is not running. With the engine running, you will see the excessive draw on the volt/amp gauge. If bad enough it will pull the idle RPM down a bit.

Your blower motor is bad or the wiring has deteriated to the point of causing a high current draw. A good auto tech (or knowledgeable friend with a DVOM and amp gauge) can diagnose the problem in 10 minutes.

I have a 2001 volvo s60 t5 my passenger window will not roll up!!! is there a way i can fix it without taking it to a damn repair shop?

Well assuming the motor is good and the switch is bad, you would have to remove door panel to gain access to window motor. You will need a jumper wire and supply the motor with power to allow motor to run and roll window up. You should first check to see if you are getting power to the window motor first. If you are getting power then motor is bad, in that case you will have to remove motor and push the window into place and then reinstall motor so the gears on the motor hold the cogs so the window doesn't come back down. Good luck. Please vote if this helps you. Thanks.

The trim/tilt on my 97 Johnson 150 outboard is not moving. Tilt motor runs. Some time ago my mechanic told me not to run the tilt all the way to the top, which is, I think, what happened. Any ideas on...

Make sure there is not a spring loaded locking lift latch engauged. If there is you will see a little movement and then the motor will sound slower. If there is no movement and the motor runs the same speed with no change you are low on hydraulic tilt and trim fluid.

Please take a moment and rate my answer............ Thanks

How to wire a 10 farad power acoustik capaciter

With BIG wires from battery to cap and then to your amp.

Good idea to put fuse or fusible link between bat + and the cap. Protects against fires.

If one wanted to be safe from starter motor transients I would gate the + power lead with a power relay between the battery and the cap. This relay should close when you are in run or accessory position of your key switch. I recommend this as there are so MANY dead car audio amps. Just search for them on here! A bunch of them MIGHT be caused by inductive transients during starter motor shutdown. Note the inductance is in the grounding wire from teh battery to the engine/chassis.

KEY ON ENGINE OFF THE RADIO, A/C BLOWER MOTOR AND

This is normal. It has a timer system cutting Power to all of these with the engine off. It is to limit power from the battery to run these too long, decreasing your voltage capabilities of your battery.
To run the Radio / Power Windows with the Engine Off: turn the Key counterclockwise from Key OFF position to ACC (Accessories) position. Your Radio and Power Windows will operate. Your AC/Blower will not.
