SOURCE: My Whirlpool window a/c is not cooling as well as it did last sum

I know it has been at least a year since your post. I am answering the post to terminate FixYa site activity on the post.

Remove the front cover. Check the routing of the temp sensor wire. It should go from the bottom of the control panel to the plastic clip in the evaporator coils. If it is touching the eavporator coils it will sense the refrigerant temp and cycle off early. If the unit is freezing up there is a restriction in the coolant lines and usually will require the coolant system be purged of foreign internal debris.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Are these reading temps at 2 separate tstats or are you using temp sensors that send the temp back to the stat. It sounds like the sensor is not communicating with the stat.

My company has an Avaya phone system that uses Partner 18d phones. When you pick out the receiver the phone would go to one of our 4 outside lines, but recently on ext. 10 when you pick up the receiver it...

http://dstech1.com/changing-the-line-that-is-picked-up-when-you-lift-handset/

All releases of Partner
Lets say that you currently pick up line 1 to make an outgoing call, but you want to pick up your last line (in this case we will say we have 6 phone lines).
This feature is called "Auto line select"
To program Auto line select:
From extension 10 or 11:
Press feature 00
LEFT INTERCOM
LEFT INTERCOM
RIGHT INTERCOM
Enter the extension number of the extension you need changed.
press ** (start, star)
Then the order you want the lines to get picked up
Then ** (star, star) when done
When finished, press feature 00 to get out of programming.
So, in this example I would enter my extension number (22) and press ** (star, star) and press line 6, line 5, line 4, line 3, line 2, and line 1. Then I press ** (start, star) to signify that I am done programming Auto Line Select. And feature 00 to get out of programming.
Easy as pie.

Hi will work on gas will not work on 110

This refrigerator is equipped with a control system, which can automatically select the most suitable energy source which is available, either 120 Volt AC or LP gas operation. The refrigerator can be operated in either the AUTO mode (thermostat factory preset below the safe food storage temperature) or MANUAL mode (continuous operation - no thermostat control).

NOTE: Under certain cool weather conditions, the food in the lower portion of the fresh food compartment may freeze if operated for an extended period of time on the MANUAL mode.

A. A 12 volt DC supply must be available for the electronic control to function. The refrigerator will work down to 9.6 volt DC.

B. Press the main power ON/OFF button (1) to the DOWN position.

B. In AUTO mode operation, the temperature is controlled by a single temperature setting, on the energy source selected by the control system. (See Auto Mode)

C. In MANUAL mode operation, the refrigerator will run continuously on the energy source selected by the control system. (See Manual Mode)

1.5T Voltas Vetris window AC. Ice formation

I think the more likely problem is that the unit is slightly short of gas\ refrigerant, which is a common cause of icing up evaporator coils and this sound you describe. First check that the air filter is clean. Another cause could be the defrost sensor is faulty, but I would think not. Some ice isn't actually a bad thing, but quite common as long as it doesn't form over too much of the coil, or get too thick.

Thermastat on LG Split system

The star with a face is sleep mode, each time you press it you will see a 1 then 2 then 3 up to 7 appear in the lower right corner of the screen. This means that the unit will operate for 1 or 2 or 3 hours then switch off. The house with key if pressed will give you the actual room temperature assuming the remote control is in the same room. It will return to setpoint temperature in a couple of seconds. The triangle with face is termed "Chaos mode" The unit will stay on a preset temperature probably 18c but the airflow will vary and the louver will go up and down irratically or randomly, as it tries to immitate a natural breeze. The fan only button will put the unit into fan mode (no compressor driven cooling), the fan icon with circle around is for fan speed which goes up each time it is pressed. Hope this helps.
