Whirlpool LSR7010PQ2 can't spin dry, clothes still wet

Good morning, my top-load LSR7010PQ2 works well for the last 3 years. Then since a few weeks ago, it cannot spin dry clothes (the spin dry cycle seems to not be working). So the clothes come out very wet. And I wonder if you could help me.

The electronic timer is worn and requires replacement, this would be a bulky metallic box located just behind the large setting knob.

Will not spin

The final cycle of any washing machine, including Whirlpool units, is the spin cycle. During this cycle, water is sucked out of the load, preparing the clothes for the dryer. If your spin cycle isn't working properly, your clothes will be extremely wet, which increases the length of the drying process. Troubleshoot, and repair this problem yourself to save money

Whirlpool Duet Washer Leaking

Hi, If you are getting water in the washer without it running, the inlet mixer valve is going bad. When you run a load, does it finish spinning and all the water is out? I hope this helps you. It is not an expensing repair. I can walk you through the repair if you would like.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks
Vic

Experiencing a lot of dirt still on clothes

Check to make sure your agitator is working. The agitator comes in 2 sections, a top (#3) and a bottom (#4). Spin the top section clockwise and than the opposite direction. It should spin free from the bottom section in one direction but when turned the opposite direction it should spin the bottom with it. Hopefully that makes sense. If it doesnt, you need to replace the agitator dogs (#10). Very simple to do. the part # is 80040 and theyre about 8.00. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need help with the install or the par itself. dave www.washermd.com
