Question about Aten Technologies ALTUSEN KH1516AI - KVM switch - PS/2 USB - 16 x KVM port - KH1516AI

Open Question

I want to use the Windows Client for the Altusen KVM KH1516Ai. When i start the client it wants me to type in the serial number. I looked at the Sticker under the KVM and typed in the number where the "S/N:" is written and it says the serial number is wrong. I searched all documents and the other stuff that came with the device but i cant find the serial number. So please tell me where can i find the serial number.

- Turn your radio off.

Quickbooks error 3371


When you register or open QuickBooks, you see one of these error messages:
  • Could not initialize license properties. Error 3371: QuickBooks could not load the license data. This may be caused by missing or damaged files.
  • Could not initialize license properties. [Error 3371, Status Code -11118] QuickBooks could not load the license data. This may be caused by missing or damaged files.
  • Could not initialize license properties. [Error: 3371, Status Code -1] QuickBooks could not load the license data. This may be caused by missing or damaged files.
Important: This issue can occur if your product is hosted by Right Networks and you access QuickBooks with WebConnect and then select to open the file without saving. If you use QuickBooks Enterprise and your product is hosted by Right Networks, you must save the file and then import it.

How to fix it:

Before proceeding, ensure that your copy of Microsoft Windows is up to date.
If the latest Windows updates are not installed, the QuickBooks installation can fail or become damaged. To install the latest updates in Windows, click the Windows Start or Logo button, choose All Programs > Windows Update. Once started be sure to install any updates marked critical.
You may need to re-install your software. Have your license number and product number for your version of QuickBooks ready.

Try these steps in the order shown. If the first one fixes the problem, you do not need to do the other steps.

Re-create damaged EntitlementDataStore.ecml
  1. Close QuickBooks if it's open.
  2. Open the entitlement data folder for your operating system and version of QuickBooks.
    1. On your keyboard, press Windows + R to open the Run window.
    2. Enter (or copy and paste) the following information, and then press Enter
      • QuickBooks 2014 and Enterprise 14.0: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8
      • QuickBooks 2013 and Enterprise 13.0: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8
      • QuickBooks 2012 and Enterprise 12.0: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v6.0
      • QuickBooks 2011 and Enterprise 11.0: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v6.0
      • QuickBooks 2010 and Enterprise 10.0 : C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v6.0
      • QuickBooks 2009 and Enterprise 9.0: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v5
      • QuickBooks 2008 and Enterprise 8.0: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v5
      • QuickBooks 2007 and Enterprise 7.0: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v3
  3. Right-click the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file and select Delete.
  4. Click Yes to confirm you want to delete the file.
  5. Open QuickBooks, open your company file, and follow the instructions to register the application.

Is it a premium product? If it is, then you need to buy it to get the serial number. If you purchased it, then you need to contact OSMonitor.

After i restore my system using the System Restore to an earlier time due to blue screen with my samsung notebook 130,it restarted with an error message occured and says that i have to reinstall microsoft...


To reinstall the microsoft client you just need to follow the steps below.

1. Click on the start button.
2. Go to control panel and look for network and internet connections.
3.Go to Network connections.
4. Double click on LAN.
5. Click on properties.
6. Look for Client for Microsoft Network.
7. Click on install button.
8. Select Client and click on Add.
9.Choose "Client for Microsoft Windows" from the list of Network Clients on the right side of the window. Click the "OK" button to continue.
10.Complete the installation by clicking the "OK" button to close the window, then proceed to reboot the computer. After the computer has restarted, Client for Microsoft Windows will be installed.

Networking problem


From client pc
1.) click start
2.)click run
3.)in the box that opens, type cmd
4.)click ok button
A black box will appear
5.) type ipconfig
6.)press the enter key
Some lines of text will appear. One of these lines says IP Address please take note of the numbers to left of this. This is your Clients IP address
Now, you said your server IP address is 192.168.1.2 and lets say from the instructions I just gave you that you find your client IP address is 192.168.2.5. If your client pc does not have an IP address that begins with 192.168.1 it will not see your server. Also, If your client pc in question has an IP address the same as another one of your client pc's it will not see a server.
I suggest the following.
Change the IP address on your client pc following these steps
From the desktop of the client pc
1.)click start
2.)open control panel
3.)double click Network Connections
4.)right click Local Area Connection (it is possible to have more than one)
5.)left click properties
6.)a window will open, in the middle of this window is box you can scroll down in, scroll down and find TCP/IP
7.) left click on TCP/IP to highlight it
8.)once highlighted click the properties buttton just below the scroll box.
9.)another window will open
10.)click the dot next to Use the following IP Address
11.) enter the following
IP Address = 192.168.1.??? (replace question marks with a number of your choosing. Just dont go above 254 and don't use a number that you are using on your other pc's)
Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway = 192.168.1.2
12.) click ok
13.) click ok on any other open windows and reboot PC. then test connectivity.

PLEASE NOTE: There are alot of things that can change what you need to enter for the Gateway, Subnet Mask and IP address. Generally with simple networking it is what i have described above but if you have a Cable/DSL router for internet or wireless router then the numbers you must put in these fields changes. The directions I gave you above is assuming that you just want to get your pc talking to your server. It does not take into account any routers or advanced networking equipment. If you do have a router I will need more info and a somewhat different set of directions will apply.

The DHCP client service is not running on this computer


Start the DHCP Client Service, and then set it to start automatically at startup. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop, and then click Manage.
  2. In the Computer Management console, double-click Services and Applications, and then click Services.
  3. In the rightmost window, right-click DHCP Client and then click Properties.
  4. Change Startup type to Automatic, and then click OK.
  5. Right-click the DHCP Client service again, and then click Start.

Click "START",
Click "RUN",
Type: services.msc
Hit enter,
The services applet will open.
Scroll down through the services untill you find "DHCP CLIENT".
Right click on "DHCP CLIENT" and then select "START" from the options menu.
