Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: How do I reset a Xerox Phaser 4500 Centreware

this should restore it to default.

By default there is no username or password required to access CentreWare Internet Services. If a username and password have been configured for CentreWare Internet Services and you do not remember the username and / or password, reset the printer to factory defaults (NVRAM reset).
To reset the NVRAM, go to the front panel's Main Menu:

  1. Select Troubleshooting, then press the OK button.
  2. Select Service Tools, then press the OK button.
  3. Select Reset NVRAM, press the OK button.
  4. Select Reset NVRAM and Reset Printer NOW, then press the OK button to reset all the settings to their factory default values.

Xerox Phaser 3500 - installed new toner still says it needs replaced. Is there a way to reset the message? We have powered off/on and it still says that it needs replaced.

Hi,
the only way to reset the message is to replace the cartridge CHIP with new one or reset the chip with proper CHIP reseter(but i don't think that you have reseter).
This printer can write on cartridge chip and sometimes when you replace cartridges the printer writes directly the information from empty chip to new chip and that makes new chip EMPTY. This is some kind of bug. SORRY!!! CHIP is cheep so don't worry...be happy

Display not working properly on printer panel. how do I reset the printer panel on my xerox phaser 8500

Unfortunately, the Phaser 8500/8550/8560 are known to have failures on the control panel. Xerox were replacing them free of charge at one point, but I don't think they do it anymore on the older models. There isn't a lot you can do once the panel has failed. If it is intermittent you could try going into 'System Setup', 'Control Panel Setup'. From here, turn down the brightness to zero and the contrast to 5. It was believed that overdriving of the lamps was causing the problem, but to be honest, I think if it has already started showing signs of failure, it will eventually fail altogether. If you can't justify replacing the panel at cost, it is worth remembering that you can see what the printer is doing from inside Centreware on your computer (networked machine only). Quite often, if your printer LED is flashing either red or amber, it is usually something simple like paper tray empty, ink sticks need refilling or wrong paper type selected. Centreware will tell you what these problems are or you can visually inspect the printer. Basically, if you don't replace the control panel, it is not the end of the world, you can still use the printer to its full functionality. Hope this helps.

Xerox phaser 7760 saying "non-phaser imaging unit"

There is a snippet on the Xerox website to solve imaging unit recognition problems, link below. http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-7760/downloads/engb.html?operatingSystem=winxp&fileLanguage=en_GB Usually this problem only occurs if the NVRAM has been reset or the engine board has been replaced without backing up the NVRAM. You can download the snippet to your printer through Centreware or by downloading the 'File Downloader' utility from the same page above.
Hope this helps.

Need to print a report of past print jobs

If you have CentreWare IS you can do the following (taken from the manual):
You can find the manual link here: http://www.office.xerox.com/userdoc/P6250/6250_Web/pdfs/reference_guide.pdf

On page 97 of the manual it states:

Using Printer Management Features

Job Accounting

The printer stores information about print jobs in a log file. The log file is stored either in the
printer’s memory or on an optional hard disk if one is installed in the printer. If the log file is
stored in the printer’s memory, it is lost when the printer is reset. It is recommended that a hard
disk be used for job accounting.

The log file lists job records. Each record contains fields such as user name, job name, pages
printed, job times, and toner and ink used. Not all fields are supported by all printers. For
information go to CentreWare IS online help or CentreWare Web online help.

The job accounting values reported vary depending on the protocol and print command used
when each job was printed. For example, using NPRINT over NetWare provides the printer
with the most information about the job being printed. When using Windows and NetWare, the
job name is often LST: or LST:BANNER. Other jobs from other ports may provide less
information about the job.

Job accounting is available through CentreWare IS and CentreWare Web.
Using CentreWare IS

1. Launch your web browser.
2. Enter your printer's IP address in the browser’s Address field (http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx).
3. On the right side of the main CentreWare IS page, click Jobs.

The “Job Accounting Links” page provides links that enable you to browse, download, and
clear job accounting records.

For complete information on CentreWare IS job accounting, including clearing job
information, downloading job information to a file, and job accounting file formats, go to
CentreWare IS Online Help.

Hope this helps!
