Ok so it sounds (no pun intended) like either the L speaker itself is blown or the solder connection has become broken for the left side. So you can either try to fix them or if possible replace with a new pair. You can get a very good set of ear buds for for reasonable price at...TJ Max. Yes no joke I bought mine there at they are great and they were only 7.99 but dont let the price fool you, they are of HD quality and brand.

I have another one but they are an odd shape so they make my ears hurt after awhile

You should be able to switch out the rubber part that goes in your ear with different type that doesn't hurt your ear.

SOURCE: The left earbud of my Bose in-ear headphones doesn't have sound

You probably need to replace the stereo plug on the end that goes into the jack. Most of them are molded on unfortunately but it can be done with a new jack and some soldering skills. There have been lots of people with the same problem on this site so there are already some good explanations of how to do this on here.

SOURCE: my skullcandy earphones are busted

could be caused by the way you wrap them up the cords should never be wound tightly it causes a short and it just so happens that earphones are made of light weight wiring to make them seem to disapear when wearing them so what to do is instead of winding them when your done simply fold them loosely so to speak

Why did my left earbud become silent?

Hi,
you can make both of the earbuds work. You can open the earbud where the speaker is that you use to hear the musik. Use a soldering iron and a lead. check if the wire inside has removed, fix it back and you will hear sound on both earbuds.

Take care.

Left earbud problems

Well, I had the same problem with the right earbud. Luckily I was under warranty with Target, so they told me to contact Bose. I did and they had me send in the headphones (to make sure I waas telling the truth) and about 2 weeks later I got my earbuds back. Their customer service is excellent, so that's what I would reccomend

Left ear going out

Your left ear canal may be plugged. You may have to improvise a way to flush it as you would while taking a shower. Use a cotton swab or equivalent to remove the residue.
As for the earbud, there may be foreign matter lodged inside where it is inaccessible.
If the headphones cannot be repaired, there may be a way to get a replacement expedited to you through one of the support groups.

My left earbuds on my JVC gummy earphones went out.

I have this problem all the time with my JVC earbuds. This may sound a little gross but it will work. I put the ear phone in my mouth and **** on the end of it pretty hard. What I have found is that sweat or even wax will plug the little hole and prevent the sound from coming out.

Loss of stereo mode

First I would try a different set of headphones/earbuds to make sure they're working properly.

If all the headphones you try have the same issue, the headphone jack is damaged. Bring it back to Best Buy. The contacts are too small to fix and are connecting incorrectly.
