I have the same problem. I am told that I need a new power supply (adaptor) but from what I am reading on the Net, they are very rare and TV repairman told me he cannot find the part. I heard that Protron is out of business.
Replace the power supply inside the tv. I have found ther here. They are the cheepest place that has them.$60 not $100 at shop jimmy. http://www.power-on.com/lcd194-3f.html
