My dog chewed up cord. How do I repalce Milwaukee Model 6507 Sawzall

this should be a twist lock cord and all you need to do it twist the connector at the handle area and pull the cord off and buy a replacement, make sure whether it it grounded (3 wire) or double insulated (2 wire), you can go to Milwaukeetools.com and with your serial number look at a schematic for this tool and they also have a dealer locator to ensure that you get the proper one. Let me know if you need more assistance.

I have a sawzall 6538-21 serial #B36A608040845 15 Amp It was purchased reconditioned and has a code RG 8-08 on the handle. It doesn't run at all. I suspect it is the switch. Can you get a wiring...

I recommend going to Milwaukeetool.com and you can download a tool breakdown and also wiring schematic. They have a service locator on their site also that you might be able to but the parts locally. I would also recommend taking a photo of the wiring before removing anything. Let me know if you need more assistance. If this switch has push in wires you need to get a paper clip and straighten out one leg of and insert next to wire and gently remove. After pushing wires back gently give them a tug to make sure locked in. UNPLUG TOOL BEFORE DISASSEMBLY

Sawzall quit working

With an ohm meter check the pins where the cord plugs in. Pull the trigger and check for a reading. If that's ok, then do the same with the power cord for a reading from the plug to the terminals on the other end. My guess is that you will need a new cord. Do Not Patch a power cord!! Frankster016
