Beeps means CPU Overheating.
Each bios type used has its own code. They will flash a series of flashes and or beeps that will help narrow down the problem. These are alled POST codes or power on self test but are refered to as beep codes sometimes.
The code will repeat until you power down. So you need to run it long enough to get the code. The code will be in the pattern of a space then a series of long and or short beeps/flashes and then a paue and the will repeat. As an example three long beeps usually indicates a memory problem. A long beep being about a half second or so.
Once you know the beep code a simple search for beep code on google or bing will get you a chart showing the meanings. At that point you will know if it is a simple fix or a shop job.
