I have a Telxon 610 that is stuck on a screen. I cannot get it off of this screen. I have tried taking the batteries out for 20 minutes. I have tried resetting the handheld using the button combination. Neither of these have worked. I am not leaving the batteries out over the weekend to see if that will help. Are there any other reset functions or key combinations that I can try?

I have a telxon ptc-610 and a new symbol LS2208 and can't get it to scan? Do I need to program?

Hello swschmidt. You are spot-on! You need to do a wee bit of configuration. I host he LS2208 manual on my company site for my clients (www.shiftintoblue.com/resources/ls2208_manual.pdf). Head to page 146: "Wand Emulation Host Parameters". Print that page and scan the 'Symbol PTC Terminal (Telxon)' barcode and you'll be all set. I hope this helped. Good luck!

TELXON 610 frozen

Hi Tanya,

That is the base TCAL operating system, version 6.7. You can reset it by

  • turning the hand held off
  • holding down the bottom left and right buttons
  • switch on and holding down the on/off key till it reboots.
If it still comes up with 67> then try [6] and then [Enter] key. This lists the applications they will end it .y then hold [5] to run.

If nothing works then either the ARC is faulty or application was RAM loaded and has been lost.
