SOURCE: Water tank inside fridge for water dispenser leaking

peah, I had a couple of these tanks leak. I think they had an issue with this. The last one I had they had a kit where the substitued coiled tubing with 2 john guest fittings to replace the tank. This solved the problem. The part number I have for the tank is 4838jj1003a, you can get it at http://www3.sears.com/ for 17.95. I don't know if they will send you the tank or kit. You can inquire. Sounds like the refrigerator is sitting lopsided.  Make sure that the front legs are both retracted in the up position.  If it doesn't work, then lower the front leg on the hinge side of the refrigerator.  That will cause the frame to lift the door and it should be able to close properly.

SOURCE: inside of door when you open lg refrigerator is very hot

I suspect you are talking about the area between the doors. Refrigerators use a loop off the compressor to warm this area to prevent condensation from forming there. Older refrigerators sometimes used an electric heater there, but of course that increases energy consumption. You will notice that the area is much warmer when the compressor is running. All this is normal, and saving you energy.

SOURCE: I now have the same problem: I HAVE AN LG FRIDGE

LG has issued a service bulletin about this problem. You need to call LG or the ratailer you bought it from and tell them what's going on...the entire cost of the repair (parts and labor) should be covered....at least it was the last time I did one for a customer.

Back doors won't open from the inside

Open the door from the outside and while open look at latch mechanism on door.
There should be a small sliding or toggle lever and it only has two positions.
Flip it to the other position...and this should fix it.

This is a safety feature to keep children from opening the doors from the inside...

Hope this helps...

I have a LG French Door Refrigerator model LFC25775, appliance is only 2 months old recently when I open the freezer door which is on the bottom the inside light might or may not turn on, I can shut the...

Hi pwitch00,

The light is triggered by a door switch. It would be situated on the fridge itself, underneath the covers protecting it.

You could track the wires leading to it, for any shorts or loose wiring. Fix these.

If it does not work, you may need a new switch (sometimes the switch works intermittently)

I hope this has helped you.

Kind Regards :-)

The LG refrigerator door lights do not come on when I open the door every thing else works. French doors #LFC25760SW Hepl!!!

Were the doors left open at anytime? If so it has a thermostat that will shut off the lights to keep from getting too hot, If they werent left open, could be bad bulb or stuck or bad light switch on the door, all very easy fixes.

Fresh food section lights work intermittantly. either door switch can make light flick on and off. could both switches be bad?

I had the same thing happen to my LG LFX25950SB French door style. It is out of warranty but when I called 1-800-243-0000 LG customer service, they were very helpful. The CSR instructed me to take the lightbulbs out and he scheduled a service tech out within 5 days. No charge for parts or labor. I must admit I am impressed.

Interior lights do not come on when door is opened 2008 pont g6 gt

1. Check to ensure the interior light manual switch is not set in the fully off position. If it is, the interior lights won't come on when opening the doors.

2. I assume you can switch on the interior lights manually at all times.

3. If everything checks out and there is no obvious cause then the door activated switches are no doubt faulty or the wiring to the door switches is faulty.

The car is a 2008 build and should still be covered by the manufacturer's new car warranty unless the maximum warranty miles have been exceeded.

Microwave works with door open

If the top is open, the upper door switch should be open and the high voltage section should not be energized. That's the way it's *supposed* to work. But that buzzing is worrysome! Does the turntable turn during this condition? Does the inside light come on? How about the fan? If not, then I would doubt that it's cooking. If so, some models will do this. It's not uncommon to notice that the fan and light will try to come on for a split second when you shut the door. This would not indicate a problem. It has to do with the timing of the door switches and a replay on the board. If it's still under full warranty, it wouldn't hurt to call a GE-authorized servicer.
