SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My machine turns on but it doesn't actually sew. The needle just pokes holes in the fabric and I don't know how to fix it

Is the bobbin full of thread, and is the needle threaded?
These are very inexpensive machines; some will only sew with what is in them when delivered, then you buy another. :-(

I've looked, too. You might need to contact Singer at:
1-800-4-SINGER (1-800-474-6437)
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. C.T.
Please note that our toll free Consumer Affairs line closes at 4pm. Any callers that call between 3:30pm and 3:59pm Central Time will be notified that we will be closing at that time. Any calls that remain in queue will automatically be disconnected at 4 PM. If you prefer you may contact us at talktous@singerco.com.

What is the difference in the length of the needle on a "handy stitch" as opposed to the "stitch sew quick machine?

Check your manual for the "System" of needle
a normal sewing machine needle has a "System" or dimension
called 15x1 or 705 H. That indicates the length, the circumference
etc. If the needle you received with the machine is the same length as the above system then you should be ok. Also most often the needle package for most machines will be labeled "Universal"

Thread wont stay in tension discs

Return it for a refund; these little "machines" never work well long.
