Re: dlp color whel glas

The projector is easy to open. whole side comes off including half silver bit at top you need to search for little rubber dots about 4mm in diameter, pick them out with a knive then undo the screws you will also need to remove one of the hex screws that the vga cable screws into. will not hurt to remove both, just use some pliers to loose them. Also remove the bulb door.

Can not get any image

1) Check if lamp is still ok. If no light even after POST replace the lamp.
2) If lamp is ok, check if all black or all white or flickering dots. If you see flickering spots chances are your dmd chip is faulty, replace it or send it to service center to replace the chip which will cost you a fortune as dmd chip are expensive.
3) if POST is ok, check your input signal if correct choice, check cable if ok, check setting if correct.

BenQ MP 670 black spots

Black spots are more likely to indicate a partial failure of the DLP chip. The lamp cannot produce such a symptom sadly.

Repair will be quite expensive...

White dots like a constellation, each time more... I know it is de DMD Chip but, Why the hell the chip replacement is SO EXPENSIVE??? Anyone knows about a DMD CHIP 8060-6319W for a LG DS420 DLP Projector...

May not be the chip. Look for a haze build up on the optics that the lamp housing contain. The color wheel will get it too. A simple water chemicals will clean it. The chip is so expensive because the surface of the chip is made up of thousands of tiny mirrors. The video signal processor tells the chip what mirror to direct the light to the color wheel and then on to the screen optics to make the picture..

Suddenly, benq mx511 has white pixels showing up....multiplying every the projected image consists of 50% snow.

It probably has the same DLP chip as my Mitsubishi television. The mirrors in the chip set get stuck and create the white spots. There is no way to fix this other than replacing the DLP chip.

How do you clean the dust out of the projector, there are particles that look like small white stars on the black areas and black stars on the white areas. Is this dust?

If you focus the image on a screen up close to the projector and notice small rectangular black and white spots, then you have pixel failures.

Sir, its white small dots on complete screen, like sky with stars,

Place a white piece of paper about 1000mm in front of the screen and focus the image sharply.
Choose menu, image, advanced then select color manager.
go through the color options and check if some pixels are permanently on or off (ie small dots or black) instead of a uniform colour on the screen.

The DLP chip is most likely the faulty component
